Look for FC Alliance (Knoxville) to be added. On the boys side their top team is ECNL. Not sure about girls.

Girls top team is ECNL also. I suppose this is to replace CESA. 11 clubs and counting. Is SCCL trying to be its own ECRL without the tie-ins or name recognition? Or are they setting themselves up for ECRL next year?

If they are added, I hope there is another team from their area added as well. I don't think the Atlanta clubs will be too happy driving 3+ hours one way for a single game. I believe BUSA & VHCS are a pair because of the distance from Atlanta, so hopefully the same holds true for a team from the Knoxville area.
Also, how would this work if Tennessee plays HS soccer in the fall while Georgia plays HS soccer in the spring?

Good questions. The non-home-away with Birmingham teams could become unpopular.
VHSC SCCL Is typically better than BUSA, but quite often it's their first teams which also play in NL.

Which other TN clubs would be potential additions to make it a dual entry for travel purposes? Can’t think of many with consistently high level, deep age groups throughout

Isn't there a strong club in Nashville or am I off base? Something like Tennessee Soccer Club?
If two TENN teams join want that make 12 teams? I could see 2 divisons, North/South or East West.Play everyone in your division twice plus the opposite side once each.
16 games total.

Another poster said there won't be home and away. So they need to add at least 2 more clubs.

This was the club I was trying to think of when pondering on it earlier. Emerald Force would also be a good option that someone else mentioned. Guess we’ll see!

If all these rumors are true, then the SCCL will soon be 12 + teams. If they do that maybe it will be better on travel if they try to split into two/three divisions and play those teams twice, then some cross over games?

My understanding is that FC Alliance and only them will still be added. Then everybody will only play once. The scheduling in the Fall ended up being a nightmare with 14 games so 10 games would work.

Scheduling for us in the fall was fine, it was the spring that was turning into a nightmare. We were scheduled to travel to Birmingham for a single game twice this spring, and there wasn't one family that was happy about it. There was even a chance the second trip would result in a forfeit because there were multiple families stating they wouldn't make the second trip. I don't see adding a club 3+ hours away from other clubs as a good idea. For what SCCL has been advertising, with limited travel, I think they need to add 2 teams in the area if they are adding a club that far away.

10 games SUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKSSSSSS. SCCL stsrted with the idea of having more than the 8-10 games GA soccer/NL was regularly doing. 12 is the good number. 14 is okay. 16-20 is tough. Would rather do 20 than 10 though.
FC Alliance should only have been added if the league was being converted to ECRL. TN SC or Chattanooga Red Wolves also.

Which other TN clubs would be potential additions to make it a dual entry for travel purposes? Can’t think of many with consistently high level, deep age groups throughout Emerald Force? Knoxville Crush? Chattanooga FC? If they have a big enough and quality enough player pool to have both ECNL and SCCL teams the most logical choice would be Chattanooga Red Wolves as that's on the way from ATL to Knoxville (Nashville too). Plus draws a lot of players from NW part of the state that don't want to commute to ATL. Not sure if Chattanooga FC is still as strong as they once were, it also may be that after the top 18 that would be on ECNL squad as the next group of players in the pool is split between Red Wolves second team and Chattanooga's first team.
