The boys ECNL map now has 17 clubs and 18 teams (CF x2) in the Southeast Conference. Last year, boys ECNL had 14 teams. New teams: Concorde x1, Chattanooga, UFA, FL Premier FC.
Breakdown: Georgia (6 teams) Florida (8 teams) [though the map shows 7 dots] Tennessee (3 teams) Alabama (1 team)
One thing this board can probably agree on... having two divisions in Boys ECNL is a good idea. Has anyone heard anything about a second division from club leaders or ECNL?
In the Northeast division, you'll see 18 clubs (16 in this current season). At U13 & U14, they have North & South divisions. For example, the Baltimore teams do not play the Boston teams. At U15 & Above, there is just one flight and it appears that you play every team 1x. The Southwest division (13 teams this season) had the same structure (younger teams with divisions, older teams with a single flight).
It would not surprise me to see the Southeast adopt a similar structure. At U13 & U14, you don't travel to Florida. At U15 & Above, you play everyone once.
How and when this gets communicated is anyone's guess.
[sorry to post a non-TopHat thread]

Middle of last year it looked like they were already setting something similar up for U13/U14 if you look at the standings page. Nothing was ever announced though and we did travel to Florida in the Fall. www.boysecnl.com/southeast-standings/Would be nice.
