Since you are noting San Jose and Dez Force I am assuming as has been the rumor there will be a Northwest Region of GAL as well. Is this correct?

DeAnza moved their girls teams to the California Thorns program in the first year of GDA when they got kicked out of ECNL because they were doing some shady double dealing during when they were trying to move start a GDA program. Rumor out west for a while is that Quakes girls program may be disbanded because of the cost. It will be difficult for Quakes or Thorns to get into ECNL because leadership in both clubs were part of the DeAnza leadership when the got kicked out of ECNL. They burned a lot of bridges.

I also saw that San Jose was going to get rid of the girls side but msundcvr has been right more times than wrong so I believe it when she posts it.

Where has it ever been stated that FC Dallas, Deanza Force (which west coast has enlightened us doesn't exist) and San Jose Quakes were even in GAL? Just because a club was in DPL or DA (and did not yet get ECNL) doesn't mean they were a GAL club. GAL has not yet announced the frontier conference nor have they announced they will have a northwest conference. Even if they were considering GAL I think the title of the thread is a bit disingenuous.

Ok. Good for FC Dallas. Still waiting for where they were announced as a GAL club so thread title still not accurate. I don't feel like this needed to even be a thread. We were adequately discussing GAL on the map thread.

You can't leave something you were never a part of 🤔

Your previous info is been nice to see especially prior to official release. I just thought we were addressing things adequately on the previous thread and that the title makes a statement that isn't factual. My comment for FC Dallas wasn't sarcastic either. I feel like the constant pissing contest about leagues gets tiring. DA vs ECNL, NPL/SCCL/NL, US Club vs Georgia Soccer. I happen to think that GAL won't be as competitive in the southeast as ECNL, but I think it will still be good enough to develop players and for players to get exposure to coaches. I think the league is less important than the team and the coach. Is your player getting the touches, the playing time, the feedback that they need?
