Does this mean SCCL-P East (Carolinas) will dissolve? Seems like an opportunity to localize.

Yep... KSA, Inter, Impact, Ga Storm and Inter uninvited bye bye Inter AND Inter!? Seems like it’s unfair to uninvite them twice?

So is LSA 05 still in NL or does this mean all their teams are SCCL-P?

These are the clubs that have been accepted into the top level SCCL as well as individual teams from certain clubs that applied for a spot in Premier 1.

GA Rush, Santos, Ambush, LSA? UFA, Concorde, NASA and GSA's B teams? Apparently SCCL is the Classic II of 5 years ago.
Guess the more things change, the more they stay the same

Well, that answers my question. So unlike SCCL top division which is entire club vs club competition I’m assuming this means SCCL premier is scheduled more like old Athena in regards to being all mixed? Who is left with all their teams at a club in Georgia Soccer?

So unlike SCCL top division which is entire club vs club competition I’m assuming this means SCCL premier is scheduled more like old Athena in regards to being all mixed? Who is left with all their teams at a club in Georgia Soccer? This is correct. Top level SCCL is Club based, meaning each club will have a team at every age group for both boys & girls. SCCL-P (1-4) is team based and will have Pro/Rel. So, just because a Club has a team in SCCL-P1, it doesn't mean they have a team in any of the other SCCL-P levels. This is essentially a replacement for the old Athena & Classic leagues at Georgia Soccer.

Yep... KSA, Inter, Impact, Ga Storm and Inter uninvited bye bye Wow... did any of these even apply for SCCL team-based divisions? I know they were the heart of never-SCCL crowd. If they are not in, who in the heck are they going to play against?

They have a lot of teams playing in Piedmont (RPL) - both boys and girls. Seems like they would have been a good fit for top flight SCCL.

SCCL seems a better fit for them competition-wise. Nothing against those other clubs in CCL but they can't compete. While they may have a team or two in an age group or two, they just don't have the size/depth/competitiveness to be factors. Whereas Inter - as I said - have proven they can compete.

Agree list of clubs in SCCL club model and SCCL Premier will present far more local competitive play unlike the CCL, just so many holes and unknowns. Seems Inter will never be let in by SCCL due to Inters leadership. Once Inters members realize CCL fails to offer a consistent platform for local competitive play where will their players flock to? Now that everyone has left GA Soccer and joined SCCL, and SCCL Premier where does that put Inter, KSA, Tysa (no select), Impact 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc teams because they've nobody to play, how disappointing.

Other than Inter and LSA...on the girls side who will be left in NL?
Seriously, what will GA Soccer look like next year? One division per age group?

And when I say "left in NL" I mean finished in the top 6 spots (premier 1 division for boys) which will auto- qualify for the new expanded NL Piedmont.
With the likelihood that most of the Wake, NCFC, CSA and Roswell teams will be abandoning NL Piedmont, it'll likely leave room for teams below the #6 position to stay in the league. I expect Inter and Impact to keep teams in the league where possible. Realistically, Roswell, Ambush, Impact and Rush should keep first teams in NL where applicable.

Roswell higher ups decided all their top teams will be in SCCL, even though a few of their teams were not happy about it. I’m assuming Ambush will do the same thing as they need to justify placement in the SCCL top division.

While I know the "prestige" of NL will be gone, the main advantage to SCCL Championship bracket is the direct entry to US Club Open Cup National Finals. I know you were saying some parents were talking defection to another club as a team en masse, what's the feeling now? Are you guys considering going back to ECNL? There are obviously a few casualties of moving from USYS model to US Club leagues. Hopefully ECRL will be on the docket for next year (better patch perhaps?).
Perhaps in the future NL becomes an adjunct league and GA Soccer might do what SC Youth Soccer has done in promoting an SCCL Championship bracket winner to NL. Will have to wait and see.
But the fact that nearly EVERYONE is looking at moving to SCCL or CCL (abandoning GA Soccer), what a crazy year.

Pretty sure Ambush left NL/Piedmont completely, they only had 2 boys and 2 girls teams in it though. What might not be fair for the smaller clubs (and those kids) is bumping up mid Classic II/Athena B teams up to top tier SCCL, but if they don't have the depth at that year doesn't sound like there's a choice.

Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance. The little guy south of CESA. Seems odd to trade CESA for CASA. 2-3 hrs away? It’s not a trade. CESA was at the higher Club level of SCCL. CASA is joining at the lower Premier leagues level. They got left out of the SCCL Premier East Division last year being all the way on west side of the state. Now they get closer & easier travel then they would have in SCCL Premier East.

Will traveling 2-3 hrs to play CASA be as worthwhile? I was also thinking that all CASA away games are now 2-3 hours away. Havent heard of any of their teams being good enough for that time commitment for every away game? Why not just play in what ever local league the SC teams will play in?

A lot of maneuvering going on. I’m sure it’ll yield a clear hierarchy and a balanced competition level.

The other SC league is mainly Columbia, Charleston and coastal teams... I’ll let you do the math on that travel.
