He has been the coach of the 03 team that won Nationals and is loved by the players.

Because I don’t know anything about a new coach . I’ve heard rumors in general about coaches changing teams .I’m asking just in case . I saw three practices and 2-3 games , I was asking if others who know him well in case he’s our new coach .

The times I watched his games , the team was up so big he was chilling on the bench 😁
The couple practices I saw were very intense .

Guessing he’s taking over the 05s at Norcross? Or you just asking for a friend?

I have no clue . Just responding to a person in another thread who said “with your new coach “ you will do well. I know some of the other coaches there so thought I’d get people’s views on the Director in case first, the rumor is true and second , it’s him.

Two of my children had him as a coach. He is an excellent coach. He is one of the best game day coaches I have ever seen. He can coach any level of talent and produce results. I was really hoping to see him coaching one of the ECNL teams granted to UFA.

It really is a shame that the 03 National Champions can’t have the ECNL spot. Don’t know the politics behind it but from the outside looking in it just doesn’t seem fair to not reward their hard work, talent, efforts, and results!

The ECNL teams are now 02/03 and there are two (one is a composite team). Many of the 03 girls from Norcross could make the ECNL squad if they chose to try out...

Sergio is a great coach and a great person. He is hard but fair and knows the game.

Don’t know the politics behind it but from the outside looking in it just doesn’t seem fair to not reward their hard work, talent, efforts, and results! I think the issue is Sergio coaches out of the Norcross branch. The girls DA\ECNL is run out of the Fowler branch. He doesn't want to commute that far. I know the leadership at UFA had wanted him to move up and take an ECNL team but he's loyal to his players at Norcross. Additionally, many of his players would also have to make the transition to Fowler to follow him, which they would... As far as is he a good coach. Usually helps when you've played the game at a high level(Liga MX). Sergio is a first rate coach. Most coaches at UFA-Norcross tend to lean towards development. He goes with development AND winning too. Please don't let him lose to you once or have film on you prior to playing you. He knows how to break down a game and have a responding plan of attack for success. Finally, he has the love and respect of his players. He tough, honest, fair and very approachable as a coach. You really can't ask for more from a coach.

You really can't ask for more from a coach. Cant agree more with this. Sergio is very good at developing players. Very technical coach. Will change tactics to win the game. Man marked one of girls on our forsyth ufa team with his best defender as our coach moved her around the pitch to get her free (moved forward from 9 to 10 and sergio moved his defender from 4 or 5 to 6, move her to 7 or 11 moved defender to outside backs, back and forth the whole game) in semifinals of state cup one year. That year was a forsyth vs norcross semi and sergio didnt want to lose. Went to pks and forsyth won. The girls love him that is why he has been able to keep the SCCL team together all these years.
