Is this MLS aligning with USYS for player ID? I think talent ID independent from club and league politics is a good thing. More eyes = better. |

Let's see what this is:
"MLS today announced, in partnership with USYS, a new regional competition platform to provide talented young boys and girls players with the ability to participate in regional competitions in front of professional club scouts."
Other than that piece, it's just PR and more of the same. I'm sure if you tried hard enough, you'd find the same announcement when DA started or when AU started. Everything said here was, in theory, already in place.

This is just funding and scouting at regional level ODP events. Good stuff but no big deal. Should have been doing this anyway.

Where were they 5 years ago? |
