What do you guys think?
Defenders Six Yards Away From Opposing Players - Not only can we keep players at a safe, healthy distance we can also improve their self esteem by leveling the playing field between players that have trained hard and others that have not. This also would promote passing and give every child the chance to score during a game since defending would be a foul.
Parents Stay in the Parking Lot - Even if parents spread out on the sideline I am concerned that for throw ins they might still be to close or have contaminated an area. All teams should appoint a videographer and watch the games live from our phones in the parking lot or home.
Eliminate Throw Ins - We can't have our children taking any chances touching a contaminated soccer ball. Or we could have a fresh set of sanitized soccer balls available for every match (probably need at least 50).
Eliminate Headers - I think sending contaminated soccer balls anywhere close to the head area could expose them to contagion, eliminate headers for all ages.
Tryouts - Bringing kids together just sounds nuts. Maybe parents should have the opportunity to compete for top teams by making highlight videos. The top 16 highlight videos for an age group could make top team. We could do a poll and vote for them.
Loudspeakers for Coaches - This way before the match or halftime coaches could more easily communicate with the kids. At halftime we could spread the kids around their half of the field while the coaches give them their half time speech.
Those were just some of the common sense reforms I think we can all agree to for next season, do you have any?

Those were just some of the common sense reforms I think we can all agree to for next season, do you have any? Sorry not Sorry(SnS) - This is not directed at you personally, but is this list of "reforms" for real 🙄 I would have to agree with buck44 fishing in a puddle of rainwater might be more exhilarating #SoccerFishing. Again SnS but I was bored and this is what happens when I'm cooped up all day with bottles of wine at my disposal 🤯 What do you guys think? Defenders Six Yards Away From Opposing Players - I propose all defenders sit down on the pitch, cross-cross apple-sauce, so as to emulate cones thru which players can dribble around...Parents Stay in the Parking Lot - I propose parents not be allowed to stay at the facility/Pitch/Complex. Like carpool, you drop-off and drive off back home or to your local Starbucks...Eliminate Throw Ins - I propose no free kicks, corners, off-sides or anything that involves hands. I'm thinking maybe we setup Toca stations to deliver the balls into play. One at each corner(4), one at midfield of both sidelines(2), one at each pk/kickoff spot(3), one at each coaching station(2) and finally one randomly selected by the tallest player on the field(1) - dub them the dirty dozen...Eliminate Headers - As penance for implementing the age-mandate, we shall return the favor to the USSF by eliminating ALL headers. Any infraction of this rule, even by accident, shall result in an immediate 42 second penalty timeout(think hockey) where an infraction ref with a patch on their dominant eye will give you a hair cut with nothing more than safety scissors and a pair of tweezers...Tryouts - Anyone who tries out and can pay all the fees by 4th of July should also be able to declare independence from the coaching staff decisions and is automatically on the team. The first three to pay get to co-captain the team unless you're the child of the TM, then you cannot captain on the first, second, third or fourth Saturday/Sunday of the month...Loudspeakers for Coaches - Only if we can use infectious disease protocols to dispose of them after every game. We can then invoke the Defense Production Act to force big corporations to make them for the soccer and sporting communities. If the club/coach is unable to meet this mandate for fear everyone may hear his/her strategy, then the coaches will have to come to the field with pre-printed note cards that are distributed by players that were cut from the team(that will show them)...Those were just some of the common sense reforms I think we can all agree to for next season, do you have any? Hopefully, my suggestions will be given the due diligence they deserve. I'm pretty firm but could be open to some minor changes if we could eliminate all legitimate leagues and create two that will battle against each other for 4-5 years, make accommodations, both claim to be top of the pyramid because we all know TPDL and then with the flip of a coin one folds one moth before tryouts begin. Aptly named the PCL(Post Covid League) and the NCL(New Covid League). Now this is not to be confused with the SCL(Second Covid League) who will claim they are the top league in the land even though they literally have the world "second" in their name. Finally, a third division akin to the SCCL called the NCSL(Non Covid Soccer League). They promise minimal travel. Good Nite 🥺😷🥺

I think this post has to be tongue-in-cheek.
I sure hope so.
Otherwise , this is the dumbest stuff I’ve ever seen in written form.

This is some good Jonathan Swift quality satire. Reminds me of “A Modest Proposal.”

Hopefully this was sarcasm.
The one rule that does need to be implemented is, if you don't feel comfortable being out there or having your kids out there, then stay home.
Youth Baseball tournaments are starting this weekend in Georgia. Youth Cheer tryouts are starting this weekend here in Georgia. Neighborhood swimming pools are starting to open. We need to figure out a way to get soccer kids back on the field.

I know we’re all stressed, but CTFD! I'm not stressed at all... but I am pissed about blowing things out of proportion and then having the whole country being treated like we are New York! The only people I see needing to CTFD is the media. Quit scaring the shizat out of people.

The only people I see needing to CTFD is the media. Quit scaring the shizat out of people. I do think it was satire. But I agree with you soccerlegacy: this is media hype. This is political hype. Look at the CDC website. Influenza has been more dangerous to the young over the past few seasons than CV19. Media is acting like this is an Ebola pandemic. Agree that we need to let our kids play. This is America: if you don't want your kid to play then don't let them. But the extreme "quarantine crowd" is starting to irritate me (not people on this message board, but the media and political leaders pushing this hype to gain more power over us) because they want everyone to behave the way they do.

I didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle, but from the tryouts thread there is a recommendation that we develop special helmets our kids can wear that I assume will help protect them from the corona.

We can just follow what the UFC and other pro sports will do.
Kids that want to participate, get tested. Maybe monthly? Show proof that they are negative or have the antibodies. Temperature taken before games and if all good, no restrictions. Full contact play with no fear.

Have you seen the videos of the test where they stick the swab up and grab brain fluid? I could see in a life or death situation, but you couldn't pay me enough to do that monthly to play soccer.
