Just curious. I thought it would be friday or yesterday. Maybe they are still hammering out a few details. Or maybe I simply overlooked it.

Norcross is up on their website and has been since midweek. Fowler is not up yet. Not sure why. I was told by the end of the week (last week).

It is late compared to their usual release. Also both Concorde and AFU have already posted their tryout times and locations specifics. I am surprised that other clubs have not.

It was done and then a last minute change...it will be up soon Can't post specific times until the county gives the ok. Some parents from various sports, not just soccer, wrote to the counties and told them not to open. Felt they were being pressured by clubs to go and they weren't ready

To me the ones who don't want to go shouldn't. But don't force others not to go if they want to go

Sounds like we need a group of parents writing in asking to open the parks. If you don’t want to participate this go around, no biggie. But the rest of us should be allowed to play.

The silent majority can't let the vocal minority win. Who do we write/email? We all live spread out. What's the best way to do this?

Email your county commissioners, city leaders, emergency management directors, and Gov. Kemp’s office. All easy to find on websites. I will start my emails this evening Edit.... Here are emails for Forsyth County. www.forsythco.com/Departments-Offices/Board-of-Commissioners

But if you think so you have the right to voice your opinion. With the Gov caught lying about numbers I doubt any local govt is in a rush to push things earlier then the June 1st deadlines most have set.

To me the ones who don't want to go shouldn't. But don't force others not to go if they want to go So I am frustrated by this as well. I just like communication. Why not just come out and say that they are planning to have tryouts, but will consider last year as part of determining spots on teams (which they do anyway at most clubs). For parents that are not comfortable, just sign up for tryouts so we know that you are still interested in playing. Then email your coach or TM to say that you don't feel comfortable attending tryouts at this time. You will be considered based on last year. If your team placement is deemed too low once team camp happens and we start back up we will change you at that time. It really isn't that hard. I am sure clubs have a back up plan that looks like this anyway. Just tell that to parents and plan your tryouts. Now the field availability is a separate issue, but as it stands now they all have their tryouts listed as the usual time (with a slight move earlier for the older kids starting on Sunday the 31st at most clubs). My issue is the uncertainty about whether we are going ahead, coupled with the lack of posted coaches for many clubs and age groups, just makes this "silly season" (as FG calls it) that much worse. My family just wants to get this done with so we can decide what to do with the rest of the summer (driver's ed, trips with grandparents, day camp for the younger and hopefully sleep away camp later in the summer). I need to get my kids out of the house before I go insane!!!

Based on speaking with several coaches and parents, and this poll it seem like the majority is ready to play. As far as Gov. Kemp. There was no lying and no dirty deeds. There has been several issues with reporting to the state that has caused numbers to be inconsistent. And I know this will come as a surprise to many, but the people inputting the numbers are human and make mistakes. And before you call BS, I work with a few of those people everyday and mistakes do happen. So in short the numbers will never be perfect and never be 100% accurate.

At this point i'd expect clubs to forgo tryouts and try to form teams on last year and coaches decisions, with very small groups for new evaluations or just one day tryouts.
