Every club gets hate in this forum. There's probably more Tophat parents on here than any other club. NTH has been the focus the last 2 springs due to ECNL and DA situations.

You may be right... I just can’t recall seeing the threads disparaging GSA, CF, AFU, and UFA. Haters will hate. Also, last post for the night - if a good player comes to TH and gets better by playing and training with and against better players, does TH get any credit for that improvement. As we all know that last incremental improvement is huge comparatively speaking.
Also, to the other poster’s comment of speaking or chatting with the UNC coach and that he is aware of TH and likes to get players from there; that is a common theme not just regionally but nationally.

It can’t possibly be a TH parent who has watched hundreds of practices and games and mentions real data. It must be a TH coach or staff member. Because no one other than a TH employee could possibly think TH is actually successful, right? When confronted with actual facts, this comes out every time. Like clockwork. |

Hey, I'm not a TH fan at the end of the day but I can appreciate them for what they bring to the table. The reality is that these kids aren't all fighting for the "only" scholarship available in the United States. Just because a TH players gets into a certain school doesn't mean that other players, outside of TH, aren't as good and in some cases better, than some TH players. My primary goal is to get my daughter into college, and hopefully be good enough in soccer that some school is willing to pay for her education. We can all talk about what player from (insert club name here) got into whatever school but let's not forget that the majority of the DOCs and coaches have relationships with certain schools and a good bit of the offers came about when the players were as early as U13/U14. So you may have TH make take credit for getting someone into a certain school, when in actuality it was already in place when that player was at a previous club. And I'm pretty sure that the same thing can probably be said for other clubs as well. Even if that is the case who cares because at the end of the day if your kid is good enough and given the proper opportunity, they will be afforded the opportunity to play college ball as well. TH is not taking all of the scholarships and maybe your kid isn't that good. And to beat a dead horse..... I am not a TH parent!
