Let them play initiative ?

Someone on another thread mentioned that some parents are writing to various parks to stay closed, claiming to speak for all the people .

For those who prefer to open up parks ( us using good safety measures of course ), would it be a good idea if we wrote also ?

Here’s what I’m thinking : I was going to look up the email addresses of various park/rec departments and make this post a clearinghouse for everyone to add email addresses they find (maybe private messaging me any info that anyone finds ?) where I then create a new thread that just holds all the links —- and then no one comment on that post , I only use it to edit and add new links /email addresses etc.

Then, we could do this:

Phase 1: Each person write one generic email that you save , then just copy and paste to each Park department ( like Gwinnett , Forsyth, Fulton, Cobb, etc). Something like we support getting our kids out into the sunshine and support opening parks , mentioning that the soccer clubs already plan on using safety guidelines .

Phase 2: We each go to our preferred social platform and put the complete list up and share with your contacts .

I’m sure I’m leaving things out that’s why if we all supply info on who to contact I think we can get metro Atl covered .

For example , Roswell is city run I believe ?

Anyway , if y’all support /don’t support this please leave comments below . At least on the notes taken on this message board I assume the majority want to open .

If so, why have the vocal majority speak for us all ? I don’t mind getting this clearinghouse started if people would contribute as I’m a teacher and time right now 🤪.

Of course to be most effective , let’s say we come up with 20 emails for the decision makers at all these various county/city parks departments everyone would need to paste their generic email and send to all 20 sources .

That way they see the numbers coming in.
