So with all or most clubs having minimal to no tryouts, what dates are people seeing via email to commit back to old club or at new club? This will be interesting as if the commit dates are not uniform there will be a lot of uncertainty.

I haven't seen a deadline date yet. I have received emails from multiple clubs and it appears as though Monday 5/25 is the official date they are supposedly going to be extending offers (though I think offers have already been extended to some players). However, once offered I have not seen a date when a decision will need to officially be made as to whether or not the player is accepting the offer.

Honestly it's been a little stressful as our daughter is looking to move up so while we wait to hear from our current club's next level coach decision we're also scrambling to talk to other clubs where playing up is still an option and not get left with the only option being back to the same team. We were contacted by one coach to check out playing up(year older) on their team while we reached out to another coach so maybe there are still options. While the preference is to stay, she has an interview(lol) on Monday with the coach we reached out to. I imagine others are in the same position.

For top teams, committment is expected upon offer especially at the Big 6 destination clubs. Players who dont are taking a chance offer will be there tomorrow. Smaller clubs without the drawing power, this may not be the case.

GSA has said "finalized by 6/1". Offers have been and are continuing to be made this week.
edit: Oh you mean once the offer has been made. Quick is the answer, I wouldn't wait long.

If you accept an offer, how long do you have between verbally accepting and making it official by signing and paying for the commitment? Looking for some experience and wisdom on here. Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong, but after re-reading emails from GSA I think June 5 is the deadline date to register. Anything after that and you will need to pay a late fee. I would also imagine after that date and your spot might not be there any longer.
Again, I could be wrong but that's how I am comprehending things at GSA.

Top team coach offers, you better take it then. If you hesitate, that sends the message to the coach, you may not have the commitment needed or wanted. After u13, the coaches know who the best players are and so do the players. In a lot of instances, the players do the coaches work by "recruiting" players off other teams.

Thanks in advance! If you are getting an offer this weekend and signing is June 5th then you are looking at just under 2 weeks. But be warned, don’t give a verbal commitment and try to walk it back unless you don’t intend on ever trying to play at that club in the future. Coaches take it personally when players commit and then drop them for another option. Unless your player is that good and coaches can swallow their pride (easier said than done). If your player is waiting to hear back from multiple teams, just tell the offering coach, I need to talk with my child, this is a big decision, and ask for 24-48hrs. I’d then reach out to the other team if you haven’t heard anything. Just like coaches usually know what their tryout decisions are before the actual tryout dates, most players/parents know what their first choice is too. Be up front with coaches at tryouts if they are your first choice.

In our case it was a decision on whether or not to leave the friends she has made on her current team and a great coach or take a chance on the unknown with new players, new coach, but a higher level.

We paid our $150 to hold my kid's spot for SSA and already received the offer for his same team. I'm still holding off a little while till I see how many of the kids of his team are coming back to insure he actually has a team. I've seen scenarios in the past in this branch location where 7-8 kids get screwed because not enough come back. Then it is already past tryouts and they don't have a team. So I don't want to pigeon hold his position. Probably will take him to another club's tryout this week just to be safe as a fall back plan.
