Which league would you choose ? Cost and travel aren’t an issue.

NPL. I think there's talent across both leagues. But due to the NPL playing into the same national tournament as ECNL, I would give them the edge.

Under 15 SCCL, over 16 NPL. 15-16 is eye of the beholder.

Tricky question. Age? SSA puts the 2nd best team in NPL and 3rd in SCCL except 12U UFA puts Forsyth Red in one and Norcross Red in the other sometimes equal AFC puts top team in NPL no SCCL for them Rest of clubs iffy in NPL, SC teams very weak except Charleston coming in is good, but NPL losing best NC teams to ECNL Regional League
14U and older CF will be strong on boys and so will NTH, Vestavia and FC Aliance in SCCL. SCCL is less travel than NPL 13U might be neither, might be GPL Georgia 12U SCCL better for sure (everyone's top teams there up to now)

If team survives recruiting next year or two age group young enough to be positively affected by the MLS/USYS National League structure down the road.

If debating SCCL and NPL the poster is most likely discussing SSA. GPL/NL is out of the picture.

I think clubs, if they have both would make NPL the 2nd team, 1st if they don't have MLS or ECNL. Go with the higher ranked team if travel is not an issue. Competition will be better in most cases, although I knew of a couple of SCCL teams that could have beaten some of the NPL teams last year.

NPL simply because they are involved with ECNL playoffs. ECNL is the top dog now that DA is gone. I wouldn't count on MLS having youth programs long. They are hemorrhaging monies. Not all clubs have an owner like AU.

Interesting poll results so far considering SSA for one puts the better of the two teams in NPL. Second, almost half those NPL clubs put their top team in NPL, as opposed to none in SCCL, up to now since Ambush/Roswell changing that Maybe poll is a little biased (?) considering how many GA clubs have access to SCCL vs how many to NPL, or don't like to travel at all. Maybe not that different or depends on age group.

Maybe not that different or depends on age group. I can speak from experience in watching, that the SSA NPL and SCCL teams in our age group were equal. And when their was cross-league tournaments (not taking SSA into account), I saw no difference between NPL and SCCL. Some wins for NPL, sime for SCCL. Based on all things be equal, I would consider less travel and cost. Especially at the younger ages...

SSA 06G, NPL/SCCL tied 1-1 head to head in the February Concorde tournament. This backs up the roughly equal argument.
U14 and below, SCCL U15 up to the family U16+ NPL
