Wow! This sums it up with no timeline to return. Of course they want their registration fees and revenue flowing.
The ECNL Return To Play Recommendations include:
Developing a club-based plan Step-by-step guide to a five-phased initiation of training: Phase 1: Training at Home Phase 2: Small Group Training at Club Facilities Phase 3: Limited Team Training Phase 4: Full Team Training Phase 5: Local Competition General COVID-19 risk reduction guidelines Protocols for return-to-play following COVID-19 infection
Clubs have no issues with group of 5-10 kids trying out with physical contact but the Phase 1 is train at home? Hmmmm... why should parents pay with no guarantees to return or well defined refund policies?
I get that clubs have expenses like Docs, coaches pay and park fees etcetera but this is crazy.
I can't wait for my kids to be on the fields sooner rather than later but this is bunch of BS.
Sorry for the rant.

So.... phase 5 is local competition but ECNL has out of state competition which is not even described in one of these phases?

But what’s to say we in Georgia aren’t already in phase 2 or 3?

But what’s to say we in Georgia aren’t already in phase 2 or 3? From what I am hearing, there are some clubs in Georgia that think we are already in Phase 4.

Just to add on the ECNL Phasing-
They had a segment on "Fox and Friends" this morning video chatting with Christain Levers and the chief medical doctor of the ECNL (forgot the name). They spoke about the phases and then stated that each of these phases would be in (approximately) 2 week time periods.
They chief medical doctor did most of the talking and said that kids (for the most part) have been about 50% exercise rate and that this "phasing" approach is also to build them up so that they do not see more injuries when they get into competition.
