Interested to hear how those have been formatted from club to club with the current times?

Depends. The ones we did looked different depending on the club and coach. One was technical skills and then 1v1 and 2v2 and then shooting. One was technical skills then small sided scrimmage. One was technical skills then possession drills and then shooting.

Wait what... 1v1, 2v2... Is that even allowed right now. My son attended an assessment where they played 6v3 possession but defender were restricted to no tackling and had to just intercept passes. I think it is insane but know programs are trying their best to make due.

But clubs have been breaking the rules and executive orders all week.

Where does it say that no scrimmages or contact is allowed?

Unless your a new player it’s only a tactic to keep you from trying out at another club. Plain and simple

Where does it say that no scrimmages or contact is allowed? Groups of 10 or less + social distancing != scrimmages
Clubs are doing small sided at these evaluations generally, but some are definitely bending.

We did one with 2 girls present. The session was foot skills with some speed/agility mixed in. Another was 4 girls, using half of an 11 v 11 field performing technical skills.
I have heard of clubs running full on scrimmages and having dozens of kids out on the field at the same time. I have also heard of high school coaches going out to open fields during the past 2-3 weeks, with their players and running 2+ hour sessions mixed with technical drills and scrimmages.

What I read from the executive order about camps does not say social distancing required within groups, only have to keep groups separate from other groups - can’t mix/switch them at all

As I mentioned in other posts both my kids have been doing private training this whole time. In the days of shelter in place they were alone with their trainer or or other kid and 6 feet apart or more. Since the shelter in place went away there have been smaller groups. Generally little to no contact for the older kid and no contact for the younger. HOWEVER during the training sessions (while most fields were still closed) we witnessed an entire team (or at least 2/3 of one since we don't know the players personally) in their club gear training with scrimmaging. This was at the end of April. They still do it as we continue to see them while my kids are doing their privates. So yes clubs have been breaking the rules and for a while.

Curious at what field you’ve seen this? And does club gear=organized team practice?

Curious at what field you’ve seen this? And does club gear=organized team practice? I did not state that the practice was organized by their coach. I do not know if that was true or not. Like I said I don't know all of the players personally (just a few). I don't want them to get in trouble because it is not my place so I am not going to state which field but I will say it was in northern Fulton county. They were all wearing their club gear. They had pennies to scrimmage with and their training is organized by someone (parent/uncle/coach- unknown by me).

Evaluations were simply a formality to imply opportunity. 3 days scheduled, first day rained out, offers given out a few hours later for 2nd team. Top team was filled 2+ weeks earlier.
Told not to wear any club gear, supposed to be small groups of no more than 10, at public park that has never been used by club in at least 8yrs. 3-4 groups with 3-4 coaches.
Offers/decisions made by previous year coach.

Just curious. Which club and age group was this that was trying to only fill its second team?

New kids took top spots instead, while loyal lower team kids were not even allowed to try out for top team at their own club.
