Looking at posted tuition costs and it’s amazing how much it varies between clubs. Even between neighboring clubs. We’ve decided to move one of our players this year and our new club is $1000 less for the year. Good for us but I’m kind of shocked that 1- I didn’t know this before and 2- why don’t clubs advertise prices more often
Do all clubs vary so much ?

Like most things, you get generally get what you pay for. Of course, there are occasionally exceptions.

I guess you’ve answered my question in a different way For us at least- same number of practices, same type of practice facilities, same number of matches, different leagues( which means nothing without pro/reg, and a much better coach at the new club. So more value at significantly less cost. Please don’t believe everything your club tells you and stay off the kool-aid

And, although I can learn much from others, no one NEEDS to tell me anything about this topic. I’ve been a student of the game for more than 30 years and I’m quite familiar with Georgia clubs and their fees. Having said that, depending on the level of soccer your child is playing, you can change clubs, save money, while having a better experience. It’s possible and sounds like you are expecting it. This is far less likely at the highest levels.

Fees are posted on the websites and for the most part they don't vary that much. There has been threads on here posting links to everyone's fees. $1000 seems like a huge difference, and Im curious as to which two clubs/leagues are being compared? What age group? What league? Is the same thing being included in both?

Ufa Premier NPL and Santos blue SCCL Add in the NPL travel costs and the three mandatory college showcases(for middle schoolers mind you) and it’s closer to a 4K difference And NPL is not a higher level than SCCL. Especially this year loosing so many good teams from NPL

Did you factor in the 1-2 out of state trips for Santos and the 4 tournaments Santos will play in as well?

I'm assuming you are going to UFA, correct? FYI - in their 'pyramid' NPL is a higher level than SCCL, as Forsyth goes ECNL-> NPL -> SCCL-P forsyth.unitedfa.org/general-info-ufa-forsythFWIW I felt UFA's fees were higher than other clubs we've been at, but I have a swiss cheese memory so don't recall exact amounts.

UFA FORSYTH fees are higher than a lot of clubs by a couple of hundred dollars. The Norcross fees are lower. Plus if you are out of county for UFA you have to pay $300 for the younger kids and $150 for the older kids extra for Forsyth. It is less for Norcross also (that fee is not UFA's doing). The fees also vary by age and level. The top teams pay more but also get more. You get 30 minutes per week of stretching/agility. You get a college profile (costs $30 per month if you pay individually). You get a college ID camp. You get a longer season and more practices. So while it is more expensive there are some benefits.

$1000 difference...must have been at UFA. AFAIK, UFA is the only club charging over 2 grand for tuition. Smaller clubs its between $1000-1200 (from experience). AFU is usually under $1800 for the year ($1550 for U15 SCCL).

A few years ago the U15 and higher fees used to be discernibly lower because the high school season occupies the spring.. mostly.
(Obviously DA was an outlier for this topic)
But some clubs decided to just keep on charging. And the willing suckers kept paying. All of us.

Are we talking girls or boys? NPL for boys is very strong competitively as its the girls side that many clubs pulled out.
