Hi! Can anyone provide recommendations for a good trainer/coach (a mix of skills, conditioning, strength) in the Suwanee, Johns Creek, Cumming or Alpharetta area? Preference is not 1-on-1 but in small groups. Some 1-on-1 might be desired periodically. Please include name, training location(s). If interested, I'll msg you for contact info. Thanks!

Nadine. You can get her contact info on the AFU website - there is a page where the coaches who offer privates are listed. She is the best private trainer around, both genders, all ages.

I looked up Process FC and it appears they train at Piedmont Park and Life University. Do they also train in the area asked by the OP. Just asking because I am interested in some training in the same area as the OP.

It was also mentioned in another thread about Toca, they use the D-Bat facilities in Suwanee(think batting cages but soccer machines and small nets). If you're looking for 1 on 1 indoors check them out, we've sent our daughter there for some sessions while regular training has been in hiatus, they do a lot of touches and footwork. tocafootball.com/georgia/

The coaches cited are good soccer wise (technical aspect of the game) but do they have any background on strength and conditioning? You should look into this if one of your goals is strength and conditioning.

A plus is great. Cedric and Gwen are still there doing strength, speed and agility work. But FYI.. Murphy has split from there and is opening his own place up the road focusing only on his strength and conditioning training

I’m trying to figure out what is the best type of training to help a goalkeeper become quicker in every direction. I know a lot of that comes from strength, but a lot of it comes from the kind of training that doesn’t involve a goal and ball. From what I’ve seen over the years, keeper coaches don’t give much time to it in their sessions.

We have a u16 goalkeeper and Southern Crescent has been great for her, she started with them I think about 3 years ago and it has really made a difference. They cover a little bit of everything in their training sessions but their coaches are available for private training as well. Even if you don't want to go for the private training, they are more than willing to work on specific areas with specific keepers, our daughter is on the small side and struggles to get enough power behind the ball for goal kicks, and one of the coaches would work with her for 10 or 15 minutes one-on-one during sessions. We would highly recommend them. A plus is great. Cedric and Gwen are still there doing strength, speed and agility work. But FYI..
