Do most clubs have a policy in regards to how many levels a player can be promoted or relegated? Somebody brought this up to me yesterday and would have to think there's some format involved especially in regards to relegation. Just amusing here.

I have not seen a limit. I am aware of a player who went from 4th team at U11 to top team at U12. Granted at the younger age groups this is more likely as kids mature and learn the game differently. Other than her I have only seen single level up or down per year in general. As you get older the speed of play difference between top level teams is significant. When a player is promoted sometimes you feel like you are watching the new player in slow motion compared to those around that player. They pick it up though it usually takes a couple of months.
