Sounds interesting... I like the concept of an open competitive tournament instead of all the segmented championships...

This sounds like the only meaningful youth national championship we can have in this country. Meaningful in the sense that competition is OPEN to all, and also insurance and many other costs are covered.

LOL.
"Teams are not charged a membership fee to participate in the Elite One Cup."
So no membership (or tournament) fees?
"With only one tournament fee, and with no additional charges for rostering, carding, membership, the Elite One Cup offers a great value."
So tournament fee in addition to the fees charged in addition to the fees you normally pay to US Club, USYS or USSSA. Unless your team doesn't play in any of those. So will there be birth-certificate validation of age groups? If not, that sounds rife for cheating. Sounds like any other tournament really. Except that people can form multi-state "allstar" teams and play in it. Maybe USSF youth teams should enter it. 9 locations...none in So Cal, the most populous state in the nation?
You still have to pay the tournament and all travel $$. I see just another dude wanting a piece of the US youth soccer $$ pie. Make it free (paid by sponsors) and people might believe that you're working for "change".
Other than that, who really cares about a "single" national championship? What is this, college football?
Maybe a better idea would be to invite the USYS champion, ECNL champion, ENPL champion, GA whatever-its-called and ODP national team and offer a 3-day sponsored tournament and get a TV network to cover it like they do little league world series? That would take some serious coordinating.

Sounds like a good idea. Combine it with sponsors,TV and could be pretty exciting. Could do interviews with athletes ect. I would love to watch a final 4. Could you imagine if you had a non club team make it. The drama would be over the top with story lines.
