It appears that if you have a son playing in the Atlanta United Academy you should move to Mexico or South America and then you will have a chance of getting signed to the first team. I could be wrong, but that it what it seems.

If you have a son playing soccer in the US and you want them to play at a top level, you should leave the country and go to europe.. it certainly seems that you need to leave to play at the highest level for men.

Personally know 4 players who spent time at the AU academy. None said anything positive. Take that for what you will.

Where do they currently stand in the world of youth soccer or beyond? Many on here don't get to experience a professional academy first hand, so this would be an apropos time to share with the class...🤔

Without being to specific, all 4 players left on their own accord and parents were the ones making comments. 3 of the 4 are playing D1 soccer. The 4th moved and have lost contact with them.
