Does anyone know when each of these leagues will have their first games, not including preseason tournaments:
Ecnl
SCCL
GA L
Piedmont NL

Maxx - I'm pretty sure that nobody, including the leagues, knows when the first games are at this point. Sad, but true.

Had an ECNL coach say that games this season are unlikely. Expected them to get canceled in the way that FC Dallas, Nashville FC, Orlando Pride, Toronto FC etc. These teams have either pulled out of their tournaments or had games postponed due to positive tests.
FWIW I am aware of two different clubs who have already had to cancel practices, scrimmages, etc for a particular team (in one instance) and a whole age group in another instance for two weeks due to positive COVID tests of asymptomatic players. Both of these happened within the last week here in Georgia.
Also FWIW neither of my kids' teams have signed up for any preseason tournaments yet. As the TM of one team I have not even received any tournament assignment.
I think leagues, teams, clubs are watching the situation right now.

Does anyone know when each of these leagues will have their first games, not including preseason tournaments: Ecnl SCCL GA L Piedmont NL For the last 2 years, the first SCCL games have been held over Labor Day Weekend with games normally on all 3 days. |

Girls ECNL has a schedule. First games are supposed to be 8/22. Some require travel to Florida that first weekend.

Not asking for comment on season, just want to know if start dates are published, yes they may get cancelled later.

Most leagues start around 8/22-23 but there are tournaments in less than 4 weeks.

How would spring work with all these girls playing high school? My guess? HS soccer is toast this year. It may happen, but it'll be hit and miss at best.
Club is going to bleed over into spring - and for most players, club is significantly better and will take priority. |
