Caleb porter will be the US mens national team head coach in the next 5-10 years.
good to see landon win the game for us, not bad for a kid who couldn't make the national team.....
(i'll never get over him being left off the squad)

Having seen many of his Akron U team matches, and knowing he is part of the youth National team staff, I thought the same when he was hired in Portland. And he started off great in MLS, with a great playing style from the start.. but his team has had a ton of player turnover and hasn't gotten good results for a while now. Some flare but no real identity (when I get to see them play) .
If he has influenced the player moves in Portland, it's not working really well. I don't suggest he will lose his job, but I hoped for better.

well, i'll take that back now - i watched the 2nd half of the all star game last night.
excuse my french, but porter looked like a p**** last night! what the heck! he looked like a scared little kid. stand up like a man.
yes, pep was wrong, but doesn't mean porter needed to look like a scared child who just saw jaws!
