New thread to highlight Top American players in EUROPE.
Feel free to share names, club, clips, their background or history and why you see this person as a top player. Feel free to disagree if you think otherwise about a player that is listed.
Lucky me, since I created this thread. I will get to list the top boy everyone in the world is buzzing about. His story and background is well documented, but Im okay with others who have more info on his story sharing. None other than Pulisic. Definitely has a bright future.
I admire his and his family's understanding that if you are going to be the best or at least one of the best, you need to challenge the best and play in the best environment.
There are for sure quality players here in the states but the soccer environment and culture is very mediocre. From lack of good coaching, pay to play etc.
Pulisic has proven everywhere and at most all of his career that he deserves some respect and should be in these sort of conversations.

I completely agree with your Pulisic assessment. He has been very dangerous for the last several weeks. He keeps running at people, assisting, scoring, winning PKs and I even saw him drop back into his own defensive third and dispossess someone! Very impressive!
Very hard to say on so many other players, but Reyna appears to be stepping it up and he looks big and mature for a 17 year old. I was surprised by how big he is given his skillset is also strong technically. It often seems like the big guys are clumsy especially as teens but he isn't.
Chris Richards offers some hope for us defensively. I am looking forward to watching him.
Josh Sargent seems to be improving a bit as well.
Zach Steffen is getting a ton better and while not likely to get many first team minutes at Man City I have to think their training sessions will help him grow a lot especially playing with his feet.
Not a fan of Weston McKinney's style as he seems to be looking to just use power to dispossess people but I do think his positioning looked better this year and he does have an engine that keeps going.
Haven't seen Dest play much but his reviews by reporters are always good. I hope to see him play more which can happen once he gets into the better televised leagues.
Tyler Adams is improving a lot as well, but I only saw a few of his games so hard to say except what I read about him.

I saw an interview that said, Mckinney's first sport is american football not soccer. If that's the case, he's done well for himself. Saw some news that Mckinney could be heading to the premier league and Dest to Barcelona, not sure if it is just agents spreading rumors.

Slightly Off topic, but shouldn't the USMNT consider Jesse Marsch for the head coaching Job?

I think if the right offer is made, he would accept the Job

I think if the right offer is made, he would accept the Job Gotcha-didn’t know if he expressed interest at some point. Yes-I think he’d be a good pick.

As for McKinney he is still young and has a lot of time to still develop. I have hopes that he will end up being something special. Bundesliga seems to be more physical than other European leagues so a move to the Premier league could benefit him a lot to round out his game. I do think his positioning looks better and he is a hard worker. His past in American football is evident in his technique and he is a solid man, not fragile, so hopefully he won't get hurt.

As an ardent Ajax supporter, it is unlikely they will be selling Dest. There is interest in many of their players, but Overmars and Van der Saar are very careful in organizing the roster.

Thread bumper with similar question Who are the Top Euro players in America? those that play or played within the MLS USL College NWSL ECNL NL.
Alphonso Davies was in the MLS and is a big player in Europe.

Pulisic was absolutely phenomenal yesterday in his 30 minute performance! Turned the game around from 1-4 score line to 3-4 in very little time. Unfortunately Chelsea's defense is (to steal a British phrase) woeful!
