We have 15 field players and a GK. If you know anyone who hasn't signed yet and would consider playing NL, private message me. Our coach is Sergio Magana and we play out of Sugar Hill/ Buford area.
His 03 and 05 teams came with him from UFA to All-In this summer.

Why do you need another field player? 15 is enough. That's 5 subs if I read your statement correctly. Trust me, as we had 16 field players and a keeper last year, 6 subs is too many. Players don't get enough playing time.

Players don't get enough playing time. Depends on the age and how much you travel. It’s easy to get 1-2 injuries or sicknesses and then you’re in trouble. Especially you’re traveling out of state and have no players to club pass. 06s are on the cusp...

One of our players is social distancing and won’t join us until August. If you remember our history from last year: 2 girls missed 4 games each with concussions , 1 missed 8 with a torn MCL, 1 missed all but 3 games with knee and then kidney issues , 1 missed 2 games with a broken wrist and 1 quit during the tourney in February.
It was a rough year😂.
Plus , with CV scares , I’m sure girls may be out from time to time with either CV or flu , etc.
2 girls on our 03 tested positive with no symptoms about two weeks ago so are away from the team . The rest of the 03’s tested negative .
We just don’t want to be where we were last year: The start of SCCL last Labor Day Weekend was 3 games in 3 days . We had 2 subs the whole weekend and 1 of them was in an arm cast.
Long story short , that’s why😂🤪

We do have a 2nd 05 team but they are a small roster themselves and who knows if they get anyone sick too?
We will club pass of course if we need to but the 05 2nd team will be on a different schedule than us and depending on their games and injuries and CV fears , they may not be able to help .

This year is a bit more of an issue with COVID but if you all stay healthy then you have a bunch of sophomores (and a few freshmen) spending too much time on the bench. We had 17 on our team last year and the only time the kids got the playing time they needed to get better was when people were out with injuries! Splitting the game with another player sucks. 40 minutes per game is not what most players/parents are looking for. We have 15 on our team this year (new team/club) and I welcome it. I don't care how many games we win, I care that my kid gets a lot of playing time and improves.

But we are gun shy after last year:) Actually, 9 of our 16 are 9th graders so we are young:)

Hope you don't lose 4 players at one time like we did last year then. All by 1/2 time of the first labor Day game against GSA--from the 2nd half on through the next 3 games, we has 2 bench players and one was in a cast.
Glad we didn't have 15 then.

Was GSA that rough or were they just freak accidents?

No. Freak accident . The two concussions came against TH i’m preseason tourney and they were accidents too. The torn MCL was a dirty shot from SSA where the ref gave the girl a red card but proceeded to laugh at our player and yelled at the ref all the way off the field . This was the finals . During the medal ceremony their coach never complimented us at all or apologized to our team .
GSA was the best team in my opinion last year because they passed so well, and they weren’t rough . The most physical team we played was Concorde but it was clean . Only pure flat out dirty play was the SSA NPL team that kicked our player straight in the side of the knee and stood over her laughing.

One of our players stepped away from the team today due to CV19 concerns. Completely understand their family’s decision.
Thus my request for field players even though we HAD“15” 😂😂 Just my opinion this is the season to have extra players. So we now have 14 field and a GK. 1-2 injuries and a CV19 scare for one parent and the season can go south in a hurry .

His kid is a good player. 1 left for SCCL2 CF and 1 left for GSA SCCL2. The 3rd one quit soccer after the season before the coaching change 1 had quit back in february in the middle of the tournament. But I want to keep this post on message. If you have a player who hasn't signed but wants to join, and she is good enough, message me. If not, no point is rehashing what happened.
