Would like to know how Georgia boys teams looked across age groups apart from the scores. A NASA dad, I saw just some ECNL division U16 age group games. UFA & NASA both had favorable results while doing some experimentation. Their opponents seemed to take the results hard. I didn’t happen to catch the AFU or GSA games - did they play better than their results?

Looking at the scores for the U17 group, and knowing at least one of the scores not posted, it looks like a lot of 1-1 records for the weekend. SC United might have won both of theirs, though. Up and down play, it seems. Probably coaches treating these games as pre-season tune ups and figuring out who works where in the lineup, who works well together, and getting meaningful minutes for everyone.

NASAs and UFAs teams look pretty solid. But UFA's 07s, 06s, 05s are solid teams -- very well balanced and can hit ya different ways. The 07s probably won't lose an ecnl game and I'd put them as a 2 goal favorite if they ever get to suit up against AU. All 3 teams should be able to play confidently with anyone - all very well coached. Didn't really watch much of NASA to be fair, but caught some glimpses - and their 07s and 06s are solid teams. Didn't watch AFU or GSA play any games unfortunately.

All scores for U17 are in, now. But at least one of them (CSA v. GSA) is incorrect, from what I have been told. Still, looks like no team won 2 and no team lost 2 in that group.

Great to hear. I know that its going to be a great season and high level play from most of the clubs at U16 and U17 levels. can wait to see how it all shakes out by end of Fall.

The 07s probably won't lose an ecnl game and I'd put them as a 2 goal favorite if they ever get to suit up against AU. First let us get the legal jargon out of the way: All my kids played for and were developed at UFA, so some might call me a UFA homer I absolutely have no dog or money in this proverbial fight. Finally, I really hope I'm not coming across as being disrespectful. Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, i'm curious as to how you came to the conclusion about the might and strength of the UFA 07 boys team? If my math computes, the 2007s, this would be the current U14s, who last year played DA as the U13s (unless we had another age mandate 🤫). In looking back, they experienced ties and losses, in conjunction with losing 3 out of 4 games in their fall showcase. Thanks to the Covid 😷 shortened season, they never got a chance to suit up against AU or SSA. So I ask again, truly out of curiosity, what changes, additions, subtractions are influencing your conclusion?

Yeah, UFA 07b ECNL has some work to do just to break into the top 4 of a talented age group. IMO - NASA, AU, CF Plat., & SSA are all ahead of them.

Fair - the 07s at UFA are well coached as they come. Go watch them play, Coach has them playing some nice soccer. Just love what I see and their style of play. All the UFA ecnl coaches are top notch. Talented players all over those rosters. Hopefully they get to play Atlanta united. Them and NASA are very good. I’m assuming concorde added pieces? Because the team the ufa team dominated them in the fall. Never got a 2nd chance against them.

Yes, that UFA 07b team is very good - they are probably right there in the mix. The CF Plat. team might have added enough to give them a better game this year. It will be a pretty competitive age group in any event.

To be fair I've seen a lot of these teams play while also not..... Haven't seen GSA or any AFUs older sides play in a few years now - I do recall a few of their SCCL teams were as good as some ecnl teams - Probably were missing that goal scorer, but solid players around. AFU's teams are a complete mystery to me --
I'm not including any of AUs teams in my logic below - mostly because it's not even certain who/when they will play local teams (unless I missed it)
Concordes 19s should be solid and might be the best performing side I can't really speak for the 17s/04s given I haven't really seen enough of just an 04 group alone given the combined age groups from DA last season. 05s -- Don't recall seeing hearing about UFA or Concorde playing NASAS 05 ecnl team last season - but I'd give the slight edge to Concorde > then UFA here 06s -- I'd go UFA=NASA, both are strong sides and well coached and both > then concorde right now, based upon my observations from last season and what I've heard about player movement 07s -- I'm with the above poster, UFAs 07s are legit -- watched them play a good amount last season - not sure how they would fair against others, but they are a well oiled machine.
As I mentioned I haven't seen GSAs, AFUs or even SSAs teams play as much -- so major bias in this summary.
And my point really isn't necessary to determine who is the best but to state that this city is loaded with talent.
Everyone of these teams have 2-5 players that can play with anyone and/or any team on any given day. I've seen goals from these sides that are insanely beautiful - build outs where every player touches the ball, switch of play, direct play, and free kicks that are special. The only way this country will ever truly compete in a world cup is for these types of players to also get their due and recognition. We have to remember that soccer is much much bigger than just the professional academies while also remembering it's a beautiful game that can be played many different ways and styles.

That’s some crappy reporting by topdrawer soccer. They basically just summarized the website. At the U17 boys ECNL division, all teams were 1-1. GSA/CSA was a 5-2 win for GSA. I saw the game. Got a video of it from a friend. Oh well.

my guess is a U16/u17 parent from the girls side wrote it. I would think so given that those were the only age groups where individual players were mentioned. My guess is it was a Tophat U16 parent.
