Read this last night on ESPN and felt that it was a good thing for Lavelle. I am more impressed with OL Reign's take on it. They bought the rights to Lavelle knowing she is a gem, but also knowing that she needs to go abroad right now to round out her game and get minutes. I guess due to the deep pockets of OL they can afford to INVEST in female players like clubs do with the men! I like this most of all!

Sounds like many will follow because isn't the NWSL season over?

NWSL dropped the ball -- they had a great following apparently for their tournament, then just vanished with no plans to continue operation

NWSL dropped the ball -- they had a great following apparently for their tournament, then just vanished with no plans to continue operation With teams spread out from the pacific northwest to Orlando it is less feasible as was evidenced by Orlando having to pull out. All game travel is flights for the most part. England teams are closer and thus easier to travel to without a major expense. Hopefully the NWSL will turn it around once the crisis is over. Mewis and Lavelle were right to go and get playing time.
