All - highly recommend you read and listen. Clearly 2 sides to every story and he admits he made mistakes.
My opinion was always this: give him time and he’ll show you what he can do. Seems he’s also fixed that little hitch in his run. Kid can see the field.

“I did not forget my passport. I never had an opportunity to speak on the situation, but I did not forget my passport. Since I’ve never the opportunity to speak on the situation, I’m not gonna say a whole lot about the situation today, but I did not forget my passport.”
Yes, if you’ve never had opportunity to speak on it... Better to remain mysterious.
But anyway... best wishes to this kid. He’s thriving in Indy and hopefully will seize every available opportunity. It’d be great to see him shine.

Just good to see him thriving. I also interpreted it as this -- I wouldn't expect to see him back in the 5 stripes kit anytime soon.

clearly more to the story:
this was always my take on passports -- I would think that a travel coordinator would hold onto players passports to ensure this never happens. Am I wrong? I assume this is what the NBA does, have you ever heard this happening in the nba or with another mls club or in hockey?

[b My wife and I had the same conversation when this went down-we felt like it was a cover-whatever it was I wish him nothing but success. He gave up a lot to chase his dream-I hope he gets to realize it.

Not necessarily saying this occurred in this particular situation with AC, but my experience is you meet the travel coordinator at your designated spot and he/she collects the passports/passcards and along with your boarding passes etc. collectively have you all go through security and immigration. Now, that spot may be at the airport, at the bus taking you to the airport. But unless you're kids, they tend to leave you with your passports till it's actually needed...

Wait. Sorry. That was a different story.

If someone was dragging my name through the mud and attacking my character you better believe I would be speaking up if it wasn't true. I think ACs account of events is sketchy at best, there is clearly a pattern of behavior and bad choices, if the passport incident was a one time thing then maybe his rebuttal would be believable. Also the day after missing the trip to Toronto he posted an Instagram story at a pool party in DC. Obviously he's entitled to do whatever he wants during his free time but optics matter and given the passport incident the day prior that wasn't a good look.
