I notice that most tournaments use Sinc and they have their ranking system USA Rank. Is there a ranking site that is better and/or more accurate?

Is there a ranking site that is better and/or more accurate? none of them are accurate because they don't capture all of the games, only tournaments and games that teams chose to report. For some reason, most teams that do report scores tend to report wins but forget to report the losses. If clubs would all use one system, either sinc or got soccer, the rankings would be more accurate.

Not really. Both Sincsports and got soccer are based on points system of entering game results. If you don't have game results or are playing a team that is ranked low due to lack of game results then it gets all skewed.
I think gotsoccer is a little more transparent with how their site works but you still have to play in their tournaments or their leagues to amass points.
Top drawer soccer has rankings nationally that are pretty good but it only shows the best 25 or so (maybe they show more if you are a paid member)

This should be a fun question lol. I don't think Sinc captures league games, youthsoccerrankings.us does but they also rely on people to correct it and I think they scrape sites for scores. youthsoccerrankings.us/

I think the real answer is 'Whichever one ranks my kids team higher' lol

Think about all of the teams across the country that would still never play each other...like the NCAA.

As a TM I can tell you sincSports and gotsoccer are very different. Gotsoccer is created by our club and houses our league games. Scores are automatically reported. Any tournaments registered for through gotsoccer automatically report there. SincSports is created by the TM and is used to register for other tournaments. I have to manually enter our league games (gotsoccer) into SincSports (not told to, I choose to). SincSports tournaments sometimes eventually show up in gotsoccer about a month afterwards but the TM has to manually enter each game and score. Those tournament wins are shown on the teams page but isn’t factored into the rankings. So really it’s a crap shoot and depends on how studious the TM is. Couple that with the fact that a team may be named XYZ club blue SCCLP1 in SincSports and XYZ Club Blue SCCL in gotsoccer, and you’re spinning your wheels trying to figure out if your SCCLP 1 team just beat a SCCL-C team in a tournament not once but twice... or if it was a totally different team. Luckily coach & TM names match on both sites. It’s a head spinner for sure. Youth soccer rankings is going to be the most accurate because it pulls info from several sources. But again- view with caution. I know a SCCL team that is brand new this year, mixture of ECNL and SCCL players Including 5 from another club. Their rankings are based on the games the previous SCCL team played last year (they’re now an ECNL team). Overall I think they are good tools to assist directors when sorting tournament divisions but I wouldn’t hang my hat on any of the 10 teams above or below ours being better or worse if we haven’t played them.

I'm looking forward to the day rankings will be considered useless in youth soccer because we'll have a system in place where the competition is great and the playing field across the board in the soccer business is level. I also know this can not happen anytime soon as many things need to change first.

They aren't considered useless now?

The other thing that is silly about all these rankings is that they seem to carry over results from past seasons. At larger clubs, rosters and team names totally change from year to year....especially in the younger age groups where you may have only Regional teams one year, Elite & Premier teams are introduced the following year and then ECNL-RL or ECNL are introduced for example.
