GSSA is pleased to announce Kostas Hatzikoutelis as Director of Player and Coach Development. Kostas has been active in the Georgia soccer community and has recently served GSSA as League Commissioner. He will be responsible for all Player and Coach Development Programs including ODP, the District Training Centers, new initiatives to implement Coaching Education courses and will have a key role within the Youth Council that drives our in-state, regional and national level youth leagues and events.
Kostas brings significant experiences in US Soccer and US Youth Soccer programs having served in leadership roles with several prominent clubs in the southeast including some of the most recognizable organizations in Georgia over the last 18 years. As a long serving USYS Regional & State ODP staff member, he has used his domestic and international credentials to drive progress at many levels of the game and is closely connected with the US Soccer Federation’s coaching development strategy.
Kostas’ diverse background also includes coaching in the USL “A” League, as an assistant to the U.S. National Deaf Soccer Team and technical staff positions in the collegiate ranks.
“We are delighted to have Kostas join our staff. Kostas is a visionary who is goal oriented and will bring energy and enthusiasm to our player and coaching programs. His vast experience in youth soccer will undoubtedly benefit all in Georgia Soccer” said Executive Director Laura Halfpenny.
