I know it was a joke. My "SMH" was in jest as well. I fully support kids making a change if need be to reach their goals but even still i realize that comment was not a serious one |

Each of the UFA players were part of the DA. So is it safe to say that top tier division 1 soccer programs are looking at the DA for talent? I realize that the DA is no longer. But not sure if the landscape will change much for MLS Next.

Here's my take -- to go to the best schools, your going to have some local kids slip through through and be seen etc. Especially in states like North Carolina with with the number of schools they have and the propensity to often add players from in state.
but the thing about UFA's 02 class, was not only were they in the top tier of DA, but they were good, they were top of the table during the key recruitment year etc, exposure was at a maximum. Concorde didn't make this list, but there is no question, those players got on big schools radar by making the finals (losing in pks). Was one hell of a game.
Both of Concorde and UFA were teams, collections of many strong individuals that bought into what the coaching was selling.
