Were the girls supposed to play? According to the ECNL website only the boys had something scheduled yesterday.
Since there was rain on Thursday & Friday wasn't very nice, including some additional rain in the area, it is no surprise that GSA fields were closed on Saturday. I would think they would be open today, though according to their website Rabbit Hill Fields 1 & 2 are still closed

That is sad. With all of the possible turf fields available in the metro Atlanta area you would think they could set up a contingency plan. It is a shame to have to cancel out of town league games for a wet field issue.

I recall seeing originally the girls scheduled against Florida teams for the weekend. Maybe I’m going crazy though.

It is a shame to have to cancel out of town league games for a wet field issue. Last weekend, GSA used Silverbacks Park and Fowler to host out of town games. This weekend, no alternatives large enough to host all ECNL matches could be found, so the in town matches with UFA were postponed.

I was looking at the girls side and thought they had had Florida teams in town. But could have been mistaken...finding the new website harder to navigate and only checking things rarely looking how friends are doing..

GSA could of used Fowler Park on Saturday. Only games playing were UFA vs. Orlando City ECNL. There were open fields to get in some matches.

Maybe they felt playing them at Fowler essentially eliminated the home and home set up, given that they are scheduled play at Fowler in a couple of weeks. I dunno.
