Average soccer.
Basically a USL team and actually competing week to week that’s what is scary. Team is in the playoff race and is average at best.

I hope the intent is to hire the coach and allow him the latitude ($$$)to go out and find players that fit a particular system. This year is weird and I understand that’s there is a lot of expense control going on everywhere-not necessarily speaking of Atlanta United, but there are many clubs around the globe fighting for survival. |

I will not judge the ability of a coach for the MLS based on that player pool. More like glorified USL team, if not just poor MLS from the past.
I thought Atlanta United would grow to be something different and more exciting and quality with time. But instead it's gone the other way unfortunately.

Will Barco ever see the field again? Do we need him? Need HIM? I’d say nope. When the team is no better with him than without, and he occupies a DP slot, IMO a change is necessary. Currently MLS (by design) is basically USL with a sprinkle of higher paid quality. It’s too bad because there are a lot of wiling supporters being let down right now. |
