22 minutes in and Atlanta is playing as slow as molasses pours in the winter... Team needs an enema.

First half -poor, save some exceptional defending by Robinson and Guzan.

Last 10' were the only watchable part of the game for Atlanta United. Midfield and up top non-existent to put it mildly. Again. Some fought hard, just not good enough. Couple others nobody understands how they're on an MLS team, let alone AU.
Guzan, Robinson, Bello and Damm are the only players from today's match that should be on the lineup. Add Martinez and Moreno that's 6. Find us another 5 at least.

Bello works hard but needs to improve much more. Got smoked on the goal (he had no cover either but that's another issue), he almost always cuts the ball inside on his 1st touch even when he needs to explode in the opposite direction, and final pass continues to be an issue (last play of the match classic example). Got to fix those.
I agree with the 6 but -for now- I would still consider Barco, Rossetto despite my doubts ... We're slow and predictable, poor in the middle and up top, zero creativity in the final third.
Need to be better on 1v1 in the flanks and final pass (Jurgen gives us hope but need one more), with some basic 1-2 quick touch combination plays to create chances. Need another legit CB next to Miles, and a better CM than what we got to play at 6 or 8. We also need a versatile striker we can actually count on to compliment/replace Josef, and also be comfortable and effective enough to start wide, or at least next to or behind Josef as long as he doesn't clash with Moreno. Hoping for the best but nobody can be sure how ready or effective Josef will be when he returns and how long it would take to get to the level he was last February ...
Need a great DP but biggest decision by far for the FO will be the next coach and they better get it right this time. Personally I prefer the new coach to choose & bring those players, or have a say. And imo given the world market values, and the ridiculous MLS financial limitations, a South American coach with a great reputation that plays an effective style of attacking soccer, stands a far greater chance than anyone else to bring value by attracting the best players for the least cost.

I want to know why Shea was so useless for us but scores 2 easily against us.

Would be interesting to see a picture of Shea from 2019 at AU compared to one now. He physically looks stronger, faster, and just bigger. Almost as much as several Bayern Munich players from a year ago ...

I want to know why Shea was so useless for us but scores 2 easily against us. AU is awful, that’s how. Imagine how bad DC United must be...
