What are the best adult leagues in and around Atlanta? Here are the few that I know of and have seen... (Also, I am referring to 11 v 11 leagues).
ADASL - Very legitimately league run through GA soccer. They have multiple divisions with a promotion/relegation system. Most teams in the top division are very talented and filled with former high level college players. Legit referees and fields and it is very organized and well run. Also have a website that is updated frequently. They also have the Perrin Cup which qualifies a team to the US Open Cup.
League Of Nations - This is one of the hispanic leagues that is run out of Silverbacks park I believe. From what I have heard, it is a new league but has basically taken most of the best adult teams around Atlanta that usually play in the tournaments and have made a league out of it. Teams like Romero, Gladiodores, LSA pro, and others are VERY talented. I dont think that the organization and structure is near the level of ADASL but the top teams that I have seen are as good of teams as I have seen around Atlanta. Most of these teams compete in the large tournaments (Ronaldinho Cup, Mariachi Cup, and others). If anyone has anymore info on this league that would be great.
Cemetery League in Norcross - I dont know much about this league or if it is still active but I have known many players that play in this league.
Are there any other competitive leagues? Any info would be great.

Cobb Amateur Soccer League. Not as big / high level / well run as ADASL, but a viable option for recreational to intermediate adults. Usually play at Noonday, Tramore, Hubert, Mud Creek, sometimes Terrill Mill. cobbsoccer.org/

From what I've seen ADASL has been the most competitive best run league since the 90s. The top division is legit, one step away from a semipro level league. There are also couple other great teams in less organized leagues fewer games and commitment than ADASL, but they play in tournaments.

As far as tournaments go, the overall best competition and talent in the area has been in the Ronaldhino and Mariachi cups. They have become national tournaments with winning prizes of over $50,000. They are primarily hispanic teams but they bring in many professional and former professional players (some as high as Mexico/Honduras/ El Salvador national team players) to play for the tournaments. Most of these teams do not crossover and play any of the ADASL teams but the quality of competition is higher. We have some of the best soccer in the country here with so many players that have played at the highest of levels.

I remember playing Sunday adult rec league up until a few years ago. It was a bit hard playing with/against dudes right out of college. So the league rolled out a new ‘Clydesdale’ division. Except ‘Clydesdale’ to them was ‘Over 30’. #fortyeight

Personally I have been wanting to play adult leagues for years but when you have kids playing at high levels and not yet driving, plus a job who has time? By the time I actually have time I will be well over 50!!! Then we will need a seniors league!😳

CASL has O-40 and O-50 divisions... At some point it becomes the walking dead... I don’t know about that my friend. I remember reading an article a few years ago about an 82 year old dude in Italy who played in an under 90 division. No, I am not kidding.

No, I am not kidding. I had a patient who played well past 70 (even on bad knees). Some people choose to do it and more power to them for sure. I just am not sure most areas have enough people that old that want to play and could make a league out of it

My best friend’s dad, age 72 (twelve years ago) shot two goals in a seniors game on a Friday night. Unfortunately he didn’t take care of his blood sugar (diabetes) and he passed away less than 24 hours later. When there’s a will there’s a way.

I play tennis now.

CASL has O-40 and O-50 divisions... At some point it becomes the walking dead... That was an actual team name one season - The Walking Dead. At O-40 there is a fine line between warming up and wearing out before the game.
