Dear Soccer Experts,
Can anyone provide a good example email template or how would you request college coaches to come see your son or daughter play in showcases?
Thank you for your consideration!

Dear Soccer Experts, Can anyone provide a good example email template or how would you request college coaches to come see your son or daughter play in showcases? Thank you for your consideration! I borrowed this from a website: First Name, Last Name, Graduation Year City and state a player is from What high school or club team a player is on and what uniform number for each team What a player is interested in majoring in or studying in college GPA and class ranking (if available) Why the college contacted is of interest or a good fit Ways college coach can see a player play (league schedule or schedule of upcoming tournaments) Player’s contact info (home phone, mobile phone) High school or club coach contact info (email, mobile phone) Specific schedule for an upcoming tournament (include dates, times, field location and link to online schedule if available)

Bogan's suggestion is good. I do think that it is a lot of information to throw at a coach all at once though.
During the spring our player sent emails with much of that info to several programs she was interested in. We put a link to her profile on the email. She has videos attached to the profile. They actually did look at her videos as we could see when they were viewed and if they were viewed after clicking on that link. She is too young still to be contacted by her preferred schools though so we have no idea what they thought.
Currently she has emailed with her schedule and some quick reminders of who she is.
I am not sure if my opinion is helpful as we don't know if anything is working as only D 3 and NAIA can contact her and she has only reached out to two D 3 schools (academics of those schools are crazy good so not sure how much they look at underclassmen). As an aside she has been contacted by schools she has not reached out to and they say they have seen her play. No idea when or how.
Hopefully someone with older kids can give you better info. I have no idea whether our methods work.

How to prepare for an upcoming tournament or showcase.
Check tournament website and see listed coaches. Write letters to several you are even mildly interested in. Email should be short and sweet. ‘I saw you will be at Tourney X. Our team is playing and I would love to invite you to watch one of our games’ Etc. Include your game schedule. Coaches talk to each other so even if you’re not super interested in a particular school, it’s good to have them watch, talk, communicate. Have a team recruiting coordinator and create team brochures. Brochures have academic achievements, soccer achievements, HS class, contacts for player and coach, season tournament schedule. Inform your club coach if there are any coaches planning on attending your games so he can start you, get enough minutes, etc. Had one club coach tell us play time at a showcase was based on how many emails you sent out. Coordinator hands out brochures at the games. Keeps a record of attendees, who if anyone they were there for. Coordinator send players the list of coaches that attended. On Mon after the tourney, send emails out thanking any coaches who watched you play. Include any notes like ‘I’m glad you could see me score’ or ‘the second half was not my best soccer’. As the season(s) progresses, keep tabs on coaches that come back to watch you in multiple games, tournaments.
My daughter first was seen by the college coach she now plays for, at State Cup her sophomore year. Our team got waxed, like 5-1. But he later reminded us he is not recruiting a team, but individual players. He liked how she played during that bad loss. Coaches watch wins and losses. They also have been known to watch warmups and after game attitudes too. U Tampa coach told me she watches warmups and many players disqualify themselves from being watched in the ensuing game.
Good Luck!

That’s funny that you mention that point as I saw the Tampa coach watching teams during warmups in Greer today. Great advice here
