Good morning everyone!
We are new to Georgia (recently relocated from Cleveland, OH), and are looking very much forward to exploring the club landscape here. I have a daughter who is 15 years old who was a full time goalie in her previous club for the last couple of years, but also plays defender, and she is planning to play in some capacity for her High School. We are looking for a club she can play for during the off-season to continue improving her skills. She does have some aspirations to continue playing at the college level.
As far as her ability (mind you as her Dad I'll always think she's awesome, but I'll try to be objective) - she is a good goalie with fundamental ability and has shown some leadership on the field in the past as well. Her previous club mostly played in-state but participated in out of state tournaments in the region on a regular basis (Edinboro at PA, some tournaments in IL, etc). Of course - this year has been tough, because between relocation and this thing called COVID, she has not played since January of 2020.
If anyone has recommendations on some clubs we should consider looking at here, I would greatly appreciate it. We are in Lawrenceville (Gwinnett County) at the present time. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as we can, and having some good soccer discussion!

First of all, welcome!
Just in case you did not already know, high school soccer is in the spring here and your child should check with the school to find out whether there are pre-season conditioning sessions going on and the date of tryouts (this is not consistent this year due to COVID).
As for clubs, the best club that is close to you is GSA. They have multiple teams at every age group so hopefully would have a spot for her. You might even call and let them take a look at her now as she might want to try and join in for any spring showcases that might come up.
Other clubs that are close (relatively because with traffic nothing is truly close) are UFA Norcross, Concorde, and AFU. If she is a 2005 (likely unless her birthday is this month) then UFA Norcross does not have a team. All-in FC has a team that is good in that age group and is a little farther away.
Other large clubs in the area are UFA (their main branch is far from you) and Tophat (they train in Marietta or Buckhead mostly) and SSA (mostly west of Atlanta). All of those might be too far unless you are willing to drive over an hour each way.
Good luck!

I don't know the keeper situations at GSA, but I do know they have 5 05G teams(4 SCCL Two of them is at a south location and one ECNL) and 4 of them are at or near the top of their brackets so if she fit in somewhere she'd be in a good position. Tryouts are usually end of May/beginning of June so I'd probably search and find coaches names and contact them now to see what they say and go from there. Best of luck with finding a home, there's plenty of other good clubs if GSA isn't a fit if you're willing to drive a little as well(keep in mind our traffic isn't the greatest pre-covid).
