Does anyone know of a good cleat repair glue (like shoe goo)? My son’s studs are tearing away from the boot.

Unfortunately, the only good cleat repair I've found is in my wallet. It's not cheap, either.

My older one used to go through cleats a LOT.. she still does, but the more expensive cleats (adidas, NOT nike) do seem to hold up much better. I've been told by the guys at Lloyds that the Nikes will come apart playing on hot turf and to stick with Adidas if they fit you. The higher end Adidas do seem to hold up. She used to go through a pair for fall and another for spring.. the more expensive ones seem to get a full year.

Thanks-yes they are Nike cleats and did not hold up on turf-the glue started melting/coming off quickly. I expected more from boots that were not cheap. Unfortunately they fit my son better than the Adidas boots do. Oh well, Merry Christmas-looks like he’s getting new ones. 🤷🏻♂️

Mu daughter used Nike, and they would accept her worn cleats and she would get a voucher for a new pair, even her CR7s!! Go to the Nike return/refund page. Adidas fit her feet to wide, as a striker she needed them to fit close.

Keep in mind, in Adidas's top lines (X/Ghosted, Nemeziz, Predator/Ace) are different widths. The X's (Ghosted in this cycle) are speed boots, more narrow. Nemeziz/Messi are average width. Predator/Ace are the wide cleats. The modern COPA's are probably more on the middle/wide side.
The glue Adidas uses on the soles is stronger/better than Nike.

Nike should replace them if they are less than a year old. My kid always kept the box and receipt. Any issues, Nike always sent him a voucher to use on a new pair. Adidas did not fit my kids foot so do not know if they have the same return policy.

I will say, this is the first time I had this issue-but this is also the first year my son played on turf for the majority of the season + practices.

And this works for cleats bought like at Dîcks and Lloyds, not just at Nike right? So wish the kiddos would just wear Copa’s but they’re “too heavy”.

So I’ve returned two pair of magistas, top model, to Nike for review of a defective product. They have me a voucher for the retail price of the cleats both times. The sole was coming apart from the knit upper. Vouchers good only at Nike.com and didn’t matter where they were purchased from. To give them credit, they did make the problem right but we’ve moved on to adidas and puma with amazing results

Thanks-I’ve tried that -unfortunately it cracks. I’ve used duct tape, too. Not sure my son would go for that!🤔😆😜

Nike backs their product whether you bought them through their website or a store. Never had any issues. I know kid returned at least 3 pairs for wear issues.

We used to buy all our cleats at Lloyd's and they were the ones that told us about the return policy. Did not even need a receipt. We got 2 new CR7s this way.

When Nike shifted production from the indentured peasant dormitories in Shenzhen to the Uyghur Concentration Camps in the interior, quality really slipped. But profits are up.

Call the company and let them know the problem. Their is a tag on the inside of the shoe that has the born date. If it is less then 2 years and they believe it is their fault you receive a credit for the shoe to be used on the website. I have not both cleats in 2 years because of this. Adidas is great about taking care of their customers
