Has anyone had a child with OCD in the knee? If so did you go to a specialist and have surgery? If so can you recommend a doctor (Not Dr. Busch at CHOA)
Thanks

The need for surgery depends on a lot of factors. How large the lesion is. Whether there are signs that it is loose. Whether the child has reached skeletal maturity. Whether there is pain or additional symptoms like locking, catching, etc.
Dr. X from Emory is very good as is Dr. Pombo. Really there are a number of good docs around. PM me if you want more info.

I have a 14 yr old that was diagnosed with this two years ago. Been living with it since. It seems to have flared up some recently. Need to figure something out though.

I think anyone who has stepped on a field, pitch, court, or diamond, has gone to see Dr X at one time or another. He is outstanding and a great communicator.
