Not surprising dealing with Chelsea at all. This is the club that didn’t give the interim manager who led them to their only Champions League trophy (putting the final nail in the great Barcelona run of 08-12) I think he should have been given more time like Man United have given Ole. Everybody wants instant success nowadays but Chelsea are notorious for giving up on players way too soon and signing a whole bunch of promising players and loaning them out. Thomas Tuchel? Same guy sacked by Borrusia Dortmund and PSG? That guy is not top level, he’s too sensitive and will not be an upgrade at all. Super Frank will be picked up by another club and be ok. Perhaps he should have done like Xavi and gotten coaching experience at another club and wait for the right time to coach his old club.

I’m a neutral but it does seem (from the outside) they didn’t give Lampard a chance. I would argue he doesn’t have world class defensive players and his GK gives up too many goals. I know next to nothing of Tuchel...we will see.

ZPL -- zero patience league is the league loosing its luster? The intrigue from year to year seems to be: how average will Arsenal be? Will pep barely miss out on the title again? how good is Leicester year after year. Tottenham will under perform. chelsea will fire their manager. does newcastle finish 10 or 15th?

Chelsea fan here. Definitely too quick to fire people in general. I think that is true everywhere but especially at Chelsea. Tuchel getting hired again does not surprise me. Look at Mourinho. He gets fired everywhere he goes after his third year. He improves the team. They win hardware. Then he loses the locker room. Everyone hates him and he gets fired. How many coaches get fired somewhere only to get hired again by another top level team? Pretty much all of them.

Even though to me, here in the US, NBC is ruining the beautiful game by flop flopping back n forth between Peacock and NBC Sports, and other intrinsic issues, the EPL still reigns supreme. All you have to do is get engaged for the Festive Fixtures and it's hard to hate on that league. I too think Chelsea didn't give Lampard the time and more importantly, he didn't have enough experience and results under his belt to warrant leading one of the top 5 + Tottenham teams in the EPL. Though I find it comically fortuitous that his own words came back to haunt him, from when Chelsea sacked Andres Villas Boas "...maybe he was too young and maybe the job was too soon for him..." I wish him well, honestly Thomas Tuchel isn't a bad replacement, with stops at Dortmund, PSG and Mainz. I believe he replaced Klopp twice. Only time will tell...
