* The role sports play in social justice - none * The importance of failing - if you learn from it * How to stand out in the hiring process - in today's age, the ability to check multiple minority boxes is key * Building a strong workplace culture - screen by merit and hire the nicest people you can find
Saved you 30 minutes.

I don't agree that sports play no role in social justice. Whenever anyone has a platform that is large they can influence others (for good or bad). It does not matter it you are an athlete, a coach, an actor, a singer, a politician or something else. If many people like and respect you then you can bring attention to your cause. Look at Marcus Rashford's pressure on getting food for the poor kids in England during Covid. Large platform+passion for a cause= results.

White women are the biggest beneficiaries of “affirmative action” and “women’s rights”. Your responses are comical.

“I asked Carlo Ancelotti… What was the biggest mistake in coaching that you’ve ever made, and what did you learn from it?” His response, “I tried to change the way Pirlo played to meet my coaching expectations. It didn’t work. I learned that I must value and celebrate the strengths of every player and then help them to become the best versions of themselves”.

* The role sports play in social justice-It should play no role. You should not be able to, just because you are a sports athlete, be able to protest for your cause or political beliefs at your place of employment.(preface this by saying I went to a U2 concert and I along with many others did not appreciate them talking about politics) Do it on your dime and your time. * The importance of failing- Agree, firmly believe in failing and showing fortitude to succeed and lessons learned getting there * How to stand out in the hiring process- be yourself, sell yourself through experiences, and act like you want to be there. * Building a strong workplace culture- Be fair, non judgemental, treat everyone as you would a family member, listen, put yourself in their shoes, we are a team working towards the same goal, inclusion, hold people accountable, win, just win.

Alex De John recently posted
“ Growing up with soccer as my number one focus, school was usually not at the forefront of my mind. But as I got older I grew to enjoy learning and challenging myself in ways I never had before. I realized more, the importance of education and found myself enjoying the pursuit of it. I left college early to follow my dreams of a professional soccer player, but thanks to virtual learning I was able to complete my bachelors degree, which put me on the path to chasing my Masters. I’m proud to say that I have officially completed my MBA thanks to Southern New Hampshire University, Major League Soccer, and the MLSPA. I’m also excited to share that I have been recently accepted into the MSc Sports Directorship program via Global Institute of Sport. I am looking forward to what’s ahead thankful to still be playing the game that I love.”
