Curious how this helps them. Isn't DPL the 3rd within the pyramid of GAL? I would have thought giving Inter a full GAL pass would be the wiser option. Additionally, I wonder if Inter Atlanta will be given older ages within the MLS Next sphere. If I'm not mistaken, they currently only have U13 and U14 right...

Technically it's second to GAL, but NTH puts their 3rd teams into that league.
I'm guessing they will keep their teams in NL/GPL and join DPL for more games. I think this means CCL is dead.

One thing eventhough Inter is not part of NPL I think it adds more pressure to UFA to try find something for its second teams. With AFC, SC Surf and SSA gone from NPL and Inter joining DPL there are few local challenging options left out there.

I am not sure about DPL, but I am aware of GA teams playing in more than one league. GA seems to not want to/ feel the need to compete with other leagues. They just want to collaborate. Even in the recent interview with Lavers and Gallimore she said they wanted to try to find a way to get the teams to play each other. I could see them making some cross league finals or champions league with the best from both. Wouldn't that be great for girls soccer? Anyway, back to Inter playing more than one league I think DPL would not have an issue with it. Can they make the schedule work is the only problem and I supposed that would depend on the number of GPL Piedmont conference games.

DPL needs to be their to league based on how they and Roswell finished pretty close together when they were in NL ... the Roswell team is pretty evenly matched against NTH's DPL team.

What league will the join? Is this for boys and girls?

I do not think those clubs will put their third teams in NPL. Maybe...

True but if they stay in NPL with their 3rd teams UFAs 2nd teams will probably be playing teams that wont be a challenge and how does UFA justify expense of coaching etc not being in one of the better 2nd team leagues. The other reality is having been through this for a number of years I doubt that SSA or AFC have enough parents willing to have their kids give the commitment required to really go on the road and be a true travel team like what will probably be required if npl stays.

I know AFC girls will not be a part of NPL in the Fall 2021. Top teams in u13 and older will play Girls Academy, Second teams will be in the DPL league. Any age groups that have 3rd & 4th teams will stay in Georgia Soccer. I don't know about the boys side or what SSA is planning.
