Watch our website for updates!” If I'm looking the same place you are on their website- the ECNL page (http://forsyth.unitedfa.org/ecnl-tryouts)- it says at the top that those were the projected 2020 tryout dates. So it looks like they haven't updated their ECNL page for 2021 tryouts yet. However, UFA's Academy & Select tryouts are May 24-26 ('09-'13) & June 2-4 ('08-'03)- forsyth.unitedfa.org/tryouts-forsyth. They usually do ECNL tryouts concurrently. I tried to find tryout info for the other ECNL clubs around the area, along with Tophat & SSA, but the only one that had their tryout dates updated looked to be Concorde (http://www.concordefire.com/tryouts), who had the exact same dates listed as UFA. So I assume that's when they all will end up being. |

ECNL or any pre-tryout camps are going to be more important than any actual tryout date anyway.
And for all those waiting to hear about ECRL or any other what will our club do for leagues ... my guess is they will announce all that sometime about August

I thought Academy (Incl u13) was always after Memorial Day and then Select (u14 and up) would occur the following week. Am I remembering it incorrectly or was there never a true tie to Memorial Day?

That is the way that it has been but this year Memorial Day is not until May 31st. Typically, academy is last week of May, select is first week of June. |

It’s just tough to make summer plans when you’ve assumed one way because that’s how it’s traditionally been and then it changes. Oh well. |

Thus the “oh well.” And keep in mind, no more State Cup during Memorial Day Weekend that forced the older kids to stick around and then some of us are going to SCCL Regionals in mid-June so needed to work around it as well. So thought heading out for a week right after the kids got out (and taking advantage of the holiday weekend) but before what normally would’ve been Select tryouts was a good idea. Apparently not. |

This is what, going into the fourth year of SCCL so again, why would I expect the dates to change? But oh wait, you’re saying I should’ve just sat back and waited to see. Oh okay sure whatever. Keep in mind tryouts are not just about kids moving around but also kids helping their coach and team during those tryout days. A bit harder to tryout new kids if you’re missing some key existing players. So this is not the end of the world, but would’ve been nice to know earlier if such a change was being considered. Sometimes planning ahead doesn’t work out as well as initially hoped. Good luck to all. |

AFC Lightning just announced their GAL tryouts April 25th and May 2nd. Is this early or are all the other clubs planning early and separate tryouts for their GAL and DPL teams?
