hum, disturbing trend for sure! somewhere i had found previous world cup winners and the number of domestic players on each roster.
i think italy's 2006 team was comprised 100% of domestic players, but could be wrong.

I hate that Mike Bradley and Clint Dempsey and Matt Besler settled for MLS and are not abroad fighting for playing time..

I hate that Mike Bradley and Clint Dempsey and Matt Besler settled for MLS and are not abroad fighting for playing time.. They are not able to play as loosely as they would like in Europe for fear that they will keep them on the bench if they make mistakes. In the MLS, they seem to play without fear and much more loosely. No fear of getting benched for mistakes. I prefer them in MLS. Would like to see them play abroad if they get sufficient playing time |
