Bush league tackle on Philadelphia player. That could have ended a career.
I think it was Blanco? on Wagner.

But tackles like that have no place in soccer.

Bush league tackle on Philadelphia player. That could have ended a career. I think it was Blanco? on Wagner. I've looked at that video clip 20+ times. He had no intention of slowing down or really going after the ball, came in studs up with every intention of going through the player. In no part of the world is that legitimate soccer/footy/football. I believe he should have been sent in for an early shower and whatever federation tack on some monetary damages(fine) and give him more time to reflect on his actions(suspension). In the real world, I wish this were old school NHL where an enforcer would remind him of the rules of engagement(bloody nose). ENDs

The Philly player (Wagner?) was really intelligent to start dancing as the tackle arrived. If he had remained committed to playing the ball away and planted his foot he would be in the hospital with a Steve Zakuani (career ending) type of injury right now. Horror tackle.
