Espn-Tottenham have sacked Jose Mourinho after 17 months in charge, the club have confirmed.
Spurs announced the decision on Monday morning, less than 12 hours after confirming they will be founder members of a new European Super League alongside five other English clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Rumor has it that when the new league was announced Jose stopped showing up to practices... "How can I be considered the most vile personality in football if we have these owners starting a non-pro/rel league" -probably Coach Jo Mou

It does appear that Mourinho has lost his touch with a top tier team -- I'm sure someone will hire him no.
Read a few clubs interested in RB Leipzig Julian Nagelsmann and that Hansi Fick is likely to take over as manager for Germany at the end of the season, leaving Bayern Munich also needing a coach.

I love that guy but he is really full of himself. Maybe that’s why I love him.

Here I was thinking College Football was quick on the trigger in changing coaches... LOL try teams in leagues overseas ... most of them change 2-3 coaches per season! There are dozens of college coaches with 20+ years tenure in same school who finally retired from there, despite having some losing seasons along the way. I can't think of a single soccer coach in any top league overseas in the last 50 years with a tenure that lasted one decade.

I feel like this was a trivia question I had. Must be a good mount of other coaches at European clubs

Sir Fergie 🤭 You are absolutely correct, my bad as I remembered 3 or 4 later. But when I researched the matter, I found over 50 since World War II, most of them in UK ... But I still think a college job is easier to keep.

Jose Mourinho sacked as Tottenham manager-developing Thank god. He dropped was too many points while leading in the 2nd half. His style isn't effective anymore and he didn't utilize the players he had. Good riddance!

Who would you like to see him replaced with on a permanent basis...? I would like Brendan Rogers. He has done wonders with Leicester. Nagellsmann would be amazing but I think he ends up at one of the BIG jobs.

Jose might make another record as the only Super League manager ever to get sacked.

I don’t like Jose but I must admit his move on this was well played. He saw the firestorm coming and got out of the way. He knew he wouldn’t be around next season so why would he put himself through it?

Jose mourinho managed to be the first and only Super League coach to be sacked I read he was also the first manager to break the £1B in transfer fees. I guess he has those two big trophies next to the other three he rambles on about. RESPECT

This dude just never seems to be out of work for long... So unbelievable. He gets fired from high level jobs and then gets hired by another almost immediately.

He had a gig the very next day after getting sacked by the Spurs as a commentator, so he never even got a chance to file for unemployment 🤣🤣🤣

In other news... Would you go back, could you write your own contract now? That’s a tough one…I suppose it would depend on how I was treated when I was there before and what my prospects look like where I am at currently…
