Recruiting won’t be a problem for him! Must be a huge raise!

transfer portal and europe pipeline.
I've said this for 5 years, the dude should be coaching -- he is too good a coach to not be coaching!

With the new MLS partnership, this should give them a leg up In recruiting.

Look forward to seeing him improve that team dramatically. A couple years ago they were playing absolute garbage ram-ball.

His coaching staff hires should be interesting. current roster surprisingly has few international players -- guarantee that changes quickly.
other thing that stands out, Jordan Matthews is the only player from Georgia on the roster, not even sure how that's possible. Did the dude not recruit the Atlanta area?

With teams like Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Old Dominion, UAB joined by affiliate members Kentucky and South Carolina dude did not have to recruit the Atlanta area. Honestly, if I were TA I would not even bother with Int'l players. Having run an MLS Academy, he knows what we all know, every year only one or two players will get signed to a pro contract. I would concentrate on getting those 2-3+ other players who can come in and make an immediate impact. I would also sell them on my contacts and knowledge of MLS/Homegrowns etc. They can still back door into the pro ranks after being in college.
On a side note, this is a great opportunity for TA. Takes all his years of experience in Europe/College/MLS Academy and evaluating talent and can create a real impact on the college game. Plus we all already know how good of a coach he is...

Personally his strength to me was always coaching the younger age groups Less than u17 year olds - will be very interesting to see how he does with college kids. One thing for sure is he can coach - I expect given the prior coach was their only coach in their history - win or lose, the job will be his as long as he wants it.
College is a different beast, limited hours, academic issues, recruiting and the now transfer portal.

I agree, its perfect for him and a real chance to control the total process. Never know, if he still hits 2 players to pro a year he will go down as a legend in Collge soccer and soccer in the US. Might be watching history in the making.

It's just too bad that the only SEC schools with mens soccer are kentucky and South Carolina. I really think SEC men's soccer would be king given the amount of resources at their finger tips. Figure a way to cross promote with SEC football and it could be a beast.
The only way TA becomes a legend at South Carolina is by winning championships - hardware etc - 95 % of south carolina fans probably don't even know what the MLS is nor know they even have a men's soccer team......

Aid stacking is now allowed in D1. Shocking no one understands that. A bunch of nebulous funding sources can now be applied to men’s soccer without counting against their puny scholarship allotment. Hello? Anybody home? TA hiring is opening salvo. Pay attention.
