FC Alliance got kicked out of the SCCL. They didn't want to travel to Atlanta anymore to play games and their results have been terrible. Not a good look for the league and hopefully they will think twice about adding a team far away.

And I wonder if that's just one domino of many starting to fall... They are in ECRL so perhaps they are just trading leagues.

I don't know the records of all of their teams but the one in our division was not good at all. Why travel like that to get thrashed most games?

They were already being considered to be kicked out because of poor results but the icing on the cake was due to multiple cancellations.

They weren’t kicked out, they left for ECRL. Expecting the same from BUSA as well.

If they weren’t kicked out they should have been. For the most part they couldn’t field a competitive team. Moving their teams that couldn’t compete in SCCl club is just watering down another league.

According to FC Alliance’s release, they will remain in SCCL for U11 and U12 boys.

Is there any way to get rid of all these superfluous leagues? Why not have just one league that all the teams compete in?

Is there any way to get rid of all these superfluous leagues? Why not have just one league that all the teams compete in? That existed before US Club came and decided they could do it better. And they did for a few years. Prior to that it was State leagues with promotion and relegation. State cup meant something. Best teams promoted to Regional league and then National. Sure players changed clubs to jump the line but mostly that was better players seeking better teams. Sure big clubs had more juice than small clubs. But it worked well. But greed makes the world go around and soccer is no exception.

A long time ago on a soccer field not so far far away the soccer pyramid was realized. Until the evil Club Soccer and his minions took over…

Wasn't Lavers starting ECNL on a girls' side a response to USSF creating DA on the boys side, only for USSF to try and challenge for a piece of that pie some 10 years later?
Shouldn't we blame USSF for starting the whole mess?...and then trying to tier their league into the haves and have nots...and then canceling it? With very few positive results to speak for the efficacy of DA?

Shows ya how wacked the system really is though. DA was created for the Goslins, Carletons, Juan Pablo Torres, Patrick Okonowow's etc. the can't miss products etc.
I bet that there are so many other kids that never played DA went to college and are better prospects now than those listed above.
but I think the true demise was DA for girls and then ECNL countered with ECNL for boys. That was the nail in the coffin.

Were those type of players playing ODP before? I agree an id system needs to exist, but at this point, we might as well trust the few MLS academies and other high-level clubs and leagues. Any id system is political.

They have also struggled at ECNL boys in last place in some ages, but I assume they will continue to want to travel to Atlanta for that league competition?
