No negatives to say about the guy they hired, but Inter has been trying to solve problems with outside hires for years now.
The last executive director was a train wreck. Hopefully this one is better.
Meanwhile, the club has always run best in the areas where people who have long been in the club are positioned. I’m thinking of people like John Downey, who has been at the club forever and built every area he’s been associated with while being wedded to the community and the club.
The resume hires are exactly the wrong approach for a club like Inter. You have good soccer people in your community who love that club desperately. Invest in them, promote them, and let them have the wheel at some point.
Inter is a fantastic community club. At some point, it needs to get over the inferiority complex and trust the people who have been instrumental in building it over the years.

I don’t know much about the Inter Atlanta program, but losing MLSNEXT at 2007 age is a tough break and may result in them losing good players. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

The only problems I’ve ever had with Inter were the lack of fields/parking. This was years ago though so that may not be an issue anymore.

When they lost the complex off I-20 but then used that money to turf Arizona instead was good but no other quality non Rec fields. They also added a nice building at Arizona but that parking lot is still a tire buster.

So they own the fields and the land they put the building on but not a small patch of broken concrete and gravel? I was thinking it had more to do with local zoning laws.

I believe the club will try to fix the potholes from time to time, but one good rainstorm takes care of it. Truthfully, I don't have a huge issue with the gravel, it does slow down the traffic which isn't a bad thing with lots of kids nearby.
