This past year, due to COVID, the schedules of the ECNL teams gotten shaken up. What will it look like moving forward?
1st) How many FLA trips are we talking about? Just trying to figure out the commitment this year before tryouts start.
2nd) How many showcases will the average team take and how far do they usually travel?
Any direct knowledge or even some insight into expectations would be appreciated!! thank you.

But, tryouts for ECNL have already started....a very long time ago. I expect there are very few spots, if any, left on an ecnl team.

From what I’ve heard three trips to FL, one to Bama for regular season.
Showcase/ECNL events in SC and FL at least with another possibly depending on how good the team is and what club you’re at.

All Georgia teams play their Florida counterparts in the fall. You do a Saturday/Sunday game, so it will be three trips. 1 each to Orlando and Jacksonville and one weird trip where you go to Sunrise Florida (FL Prime) and Tampa (Tampa Bay Rowdies). That's the tough one because you have to fly into one city and then drive/fly into the other after you game on Saturday and then fly/drive out of the latter on Sunday. U13/14 play in a yearlong schedule. At U14 factor in "trap" players also. U15+ play in the fall only, so it's a crammed schedule. They usually all go to the Houston National Showcase(Feb), with the 13s n 14s adding the regional showcase in Greer SC(May) The older age groups do additional showcases based on the club. Many go to 2-3 with most from Georgia usually going to the SC and FL national showcases too. Arizona Phoenix is the big one for most. Although this might be better started as it's own thread... why doesn't Georgia have it's own showcase?? It's one of the bigger SE metro areas and home to multiple ECNL teams. Just an observation.

Someone else may be better suited to discuss this but I do remember some type of "friendlies" between the clubs one or twice this soccer year. I also know CESA does one too in SC, but officially all showcases are handled by ECNL. On another note, I wish we had a facility here that could host a National Event like a Showcase/Playoffs/Nationals. Something similar to CESA with 15 - 20 fields. It would attract a lot of soccer events. But then again, who wants to go to a showcase in their own backyard. Okay ignore and carry on...
