Curious if anyone else is still waiting to hear results from CF tryouts last week (ended on Wed). We are likely on a mid/low tier team (SCCL P something) so I assume that they are working their way down, but it seems like we shouldn't have to wait quite so long...

The 2009 process is moving very slowly. Upper teams are still being formed so no one past ECNL has been called.

Friend of mine has an 08 boy and hasn’t heard from CF either. Similar level as your son. |

We’ve waited about a week to hear from a coach (same level). There has to be a better way.

Friend of mine has an 08 boy and hasn’t heard from CF either. Similar level as your son. Remember that unlike other clubs, that one ECNL and one ECRL team, Concorde was two of each so that's 4 for lack of a better term "upper level teams" to fill. With that said, I believe Platinum is set. |

Some what off topic, but does anyone know who the 08 ECNL & ECRL Platinum coaches are ? Jose Esique is the new coach for 08 ECNL Platinum, Ben Sawkins for 08 ECNL Premier. Don't know about ECRL teams. |

I thought Jordan Clarke is the HC for 2008B ECNL Platinum and ECRL Platinum

I thought Jordan Clarke is the HC for 2008B ECNL Platinum and ECRL Platinum Can't speak for ECRL Platinum, but Jose is definitely the coach for 2008 Boys ECNL Platinum next year (my son is on the team.  ) |

That’s funny - I heard Jordan was out there telling boys he was the ECNL coach- just days ago. I am betting he is the ECRL Coach and was doing the bait and switch that was being talked about on a different thread.

Ha .. same ole concord. They did the same thing years ago with a couple of my daughters friends. Maybe that is why concord does not list who their coaches are.
They are all ECNL coaches ( until they are not ) lol

I’ve been chatting with enough parents to realize there’s confusion about what is ECNL and ECRL / ECNL regional. To my knowledge Jordan has always been the second team coach out of “Central” regardless of the league. That probably remains true, and there was a misunderstanding. People might also hear Platinum and assume the top-top team, even though it’s the second division. Maybe CF needs two more monikers that start with P (In order: platinum, premier, pretty darn good, pretty good) so they aren’t repeated for different leagues.
Or he’s lying on purpose. Seems less likely to me though

Seems about right with all the 08 boys movement. AFU ECNL had 2 players from that CF Premier team at tryouts last week.
This was probably the most Covid affected group as they didn’t have a chance to really move coming out Academy.

How did tryouts go for that AFU team. Did they add any players from outside the club? I heard from my daughters friend they may have lost a few of their better players . Did they upgrade that team from last year?

Did they upgrade that team from last year? Lost probably their best to gsa, but did lose and cut a couple that weren’t up to team ball mentality. I’d say half the roster changed over. Picked up a couple from Rush, Santos, & I think UFA, maybe those CF players too. |

Hadn’t heard Karl had left. On the positive side, Coach Jose is a good coach that kids love. Good luck next year!
