Looking for steady/weekly pick up games in summer, my son is 11, ideally with other academy kids.
Alpharetta, Roswell, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Norcross, Duluth, Milton, but open to a little bit further drive if its a good steady weekly group.
Thanks

A friend of mine recommended me to this pickup program called Rising Stars Atlanta held at Silverback pack. You might want to check it out. Great program and very competitive, though Is Invite Only. My advice will be to contact them first and see what they might offer you. There email is risingstarsatlanta@gmail.com Hope this help

A friend of mine started the pickup on the Southside. It may be a bit far from you, but I should mention that is was in response to some of the invite only style pickup sessions, but that is another story: www.instagram.com/southsidepickup404/Mostly on Sundays, and the plan is to start back up now that the season is over for most.

One shouldn't assume but I'm guessing you're referring to the true pay to play "invite only" model well known to most around town. The whole point of a pick up game is to bring access to the game for all. No rules, not for profit, barely any organization and just plain fun. I'm with you on that and I find it personally disgusting when it becomes another avenue to pilfer $$$ from parents already paying thousands in fees and travel already. One of the beauties of soccer is the ability to play with all types of players and learn how to navigate the good, the bad and the ugly. Game begets Game. Find some friends, neighbors, school mates, cousins, etc. who play, ask them all to bring another friend, find a park, drop some shirts n shoes to make the goals, just ball, try trick plays and talk trash. To me, that's a pick up game. As word spreads, more will come out. Remember, it doesn't have to be pristine fields with newly purchased goals, nets and perfectly lines pitches. Some days it's 3v3 other days is 8v8 with only one goalie...

Most nights there are players from area clubs and high schools at the Allen Road Park mini-pitch cage in Sandy Springs.
